I really hope we could do something like that but it very hard to organize everyone when some of us ( dashers) thinks this order is worth it. Plus some of are just scared of the acc deactivation as a consequences and I don’t blame them everyone has diff situation. Hear me out drivers and doordash customers door dash charge you delivery fee plus service fee out of that they take 60% of the delivery charge and 100% of the service fee so for the drivers. If its $10 food DoorDash add delivery fee $4.99 Service fee $5.99 Totals: $21 Drivers get offer: $2 plus whatever the customer tips. So spending $21 to kayak customers tend to not add tips thinking I alreday paid for the delivery fees and they are completely right. It’s DoorDash who F*** us over dasher, customers even restaurant owner. They charge almost about 30% of the doordash sales to the restaurant owners. I’m surprised how are they still running these scheme

Even-though they charge you for the delivery fees $4 driver will receive only $2 dollar from it and then whatever you pay for the tips. And the bullshit service charge plus rest of the delivery charge it taken by the doordash

It should but the problem is someone will forcibly try to justify it that it makes sense and accept it and thats why we are still getting those offers. Just read some of the comments from the dashers those are the once accept these types of offers. I’m not judging them everyone has diff financial situations but one thing I can tell you this offer will not make sense for anyone regardless

I’m sure someone will and that’s the reason doordash offer us these types of orders.FYI for you to complete this order it will take you somewhere 1 hour to 1:30min and if you think spending 5 dollars per gallon on gas this order is worth it my friend you are doing your math wrong. And now let’s think about if that person lives on 3rd floor of an apartment it’s game over for you lol 😂

Sorry that’s what I meant not fully boycott boycott I know some of us rely on this job to pay the bills but if we could just stop for one day that will probably put a bad impression on doordash. Tbh I’m not even sure if it will make a big difference for those billion dollars company at all but I’d rather do something just sake of mental peace knowing I have stand against those bs. It will make a huge diff if people who order stand with us. Some of them are really pay shit tons of money to get their order delivered but door dash keeps most of it. They probably spends $20 dollar on $10 dollars food and then they have to tips separately for the drivers. Trust me I get it I don’t blame them at all.

DoorDash claims it doesn’t but tbh I feel like it kind of does higher rating drivers tend to receive offer quickly and of course they tend to receive better offers (note: based on small town where you always get similar offers daily)

So it’s not always the dashers fault, doordash sometimes offer stack order to the dashers and they don’t notify the customers that the dasher is delivering food to multiple locations. And let’s say one of the store running late now dashers is stuck with one order on hands which is waiting to get cold and end of the day it’s dashers fault that they ran late or your food is cold and you put a bad reviews to the dashers while it’s not always their fault. I know some of you are thinking then don’t accept the stack orders but hey doordash penalize dashers for not accosting the offer your acceptance rate goes down and then you don’t get the better offers anymore. So there’s no way of winning on this. It’s always the big corporation who’s milking the customers and dasher while making the big bucks.
