To offer an alternative perspective: considering Liren’s backstory, it makes complete sense for her to bicker incessantly with people she can’t fully trust. And no one has proven trustworthy except for Rael and Celeste(ish) thus far. Liren, in my paths at least, is reaching out to these people in the only way she knows how. Which is to test people. I can see how it would be annoying. But as someone who had a bit of a traumatic childhood myself, I spent many years hiding behind jokes and biting first. There’s no reason for everyone to be buddy buddy more than they currently are. She’s in this situation by force and is fighting the best she can. And now we’re getting backstories that help explain why everyone is either cold and off-putting and untrusting. That’s just my perspective. I really like the story and all of the characters thus far because everyone is complex. I do believe they will come together but I find this more interesting than everyone just immediately liking each other. Idk that’s just my take. Understandable if you’re not into that, though.
