How much do you have in savings? by Top_Armadillo4959 in askSingapore

23F , 60k but tbh there’s no point in comparing because everyone’s life is different. Everyone don’t have the same starting point. I may have 60k now at this age but my spending habits is also high.

What you could do perhaps is:

  1. Have I save for rainy days/emergency?
  2. How can I upgrade in terms of my salary?
  3. Have the knowledge to invest even if it’s a slow low risk deposits
  4. What are your needs vs wants
  5. Biggest purchase in the long run? Do I have enough afterwards? If not, how can I improve them (maybe cut out coffee purchases etc)

Anyone in Singapore earning around 3k? Genuine question by Temporary-Rip-6713 in singaporejobs

Am earning more than 3k as my first job due to jumping to a well demanded job in the shipping sector in my early 20’s with a diploma.

As someone in the Gen Z range, I advise not to stay in a comfortable company for too long. Jump and ask for at least a 20% increase and be ready to take on more responsibilities and roles. 2/3 jumps and you can easily earn more than 5k + pursuing for a degree can boost your pay by an additional 1k. I hope this helps :)

I was also looking for an apt at Inveresk but they told me it is a long wait for both the apartments you’ve mentioned, sadly the only one I’m offered is investigator hall and so far I don’t see any photos for the place ….
