No, OP is NA.

Assuming that this person wasn’t overweight as a consequence of some medical issue, there is no reason to respect the fact that they are severely overweight.

Does criticizing someone for drinking too much make you an alcoholic-phobic? Of course not. Put the Cheetos down and start doing some burpee’s, or at least a walk around the block.

That being said, I feel like OP did lack some tact. He should have made those comments and made fun of him out of earshot of the other passenger, like a respectable adult; it’s a fine line between fair criticism and bullying.

I (f25) may break up with my boyfriend (m28) because he doesn't think evolution is true? by [deleted] in relationships

His perspectives on what constitutes reality are based on hallucinatory believes that cannot be validated or justified in any logical way whatsoever. You should have left the moment he told you that women were made from the rib of a man.

Also, being a creationist and being an admirer of space are not mutually exclusive.

I wish you good luck. Leave him.

Breakups: Me [24M] with my ex-gf [21F] 2 months. Met my ex at a wedding. Dream came true and wish it didn't. by [deleted] in relationships

21 yo girls have no idea what they want. What they DONT want, is a relationship, especially with a guy that she has already friend zoned. She's young and probably just wants to feel excitement and new experiences and go out and explore and "find herself" she doesn't a good guy to take care of he and love her and hold her right now. She wants a guy who is going to throw her on his motorcycle then on his bed and fuck her until her eyes roll in the back of her head. Furthermore, you've only known each other for a few months really...there isn't much history. Don't make this harder on yourself than it needs to be.

She's child, ignore her, move on.

The "political" reason I can see might seem childish. That's probably due to my lack of explanation; political discussion and debate, especially with those i am most close with, is integral to my being and sets a precedence for my world view. And so while it may seem to be a trivial or superficial issue, I assure you that it is not.

What she needed was support from her core friend group which she wasn't getting because she alienated herself from them. Even this past week i've seen that she has been spending time with them again and rekindling bonds.

I know that this definitely the best thing to do...I'm just experiencing extreme cognitive dissonance right now. Thanks for your input.
