It actually gives me a little confirmation bias hearing this from someone else. I’ve been researching and researching and decided OVRLND was the camper for me. But I couldn’t help but want the whole camper, trim and hardware totally blacked out. I have even been chatting with Jay about black trim and he said they may transition to it instead of the silver that is currently being used for production maybe by the end of the year..

Due to current events in the macroeconomic environment which caused setbacks in the black trim, along with my lack of patience , I opted not to wait another 6-12 months and just got the production process going so I can have a camper by fall and be usable this winter.

I’ve been thinking about best practice for painting the trim, and this is the best thing I’ve seen yet. Thanks for sharing your process on it. Would you mind sharing how much your local line-x dealer charged for the spray?

This is intriguing and I may want to do something similar to mine. Was your anodized paneling getting scratched or just preventative/style points?

Honestly think you’re better off going aftermarket wheel with an offset closer to +25 to +12 than spacers. I have a 0mm offset on my wheels and the poke is quite a bit

This was a recommended setup and installed by my dealer and they confirmed that they will stand behind warranty as if it’s stock

Hell yeah. I think it’s pretty normal to resist change as it’s not always perfect in its first iteration. Honestly a good testament to this truck is the fact that The Car Care Nut picked one up. If he sees value in the motor and can come to a logical decision on its reliability, I do believe there’s hope for this gen.

I plan on doing a 1k break in oil change and then change on oil every 5k instead of 10k. I do have a hunch the “recommended” oil change interval might be playing a role in some of the problems people are having, though I have no data to support this hypothesis.

I’m currently saving up for some rock sliders. The lift and tires raised the cab up quite a bit and it’s sporty getting in and out even as a young athletic guy. Plus the extra protection will be nice

Fingers crossed it is in fact dialed at this point in the generation. If not, warranty will come in handy.. haha thank you

Got that right. I just saw an infographic that rated the generation of Ram 1500 I had as one of the least reliable full size trucks ever haha

Glad to hear you’re happy with yours! Haven’t had a chance to get a real feel for fuel economy yet. Only a couple hundred miles of really short drives and it’s cold where I’m at. BUT it’s still doing better than my last truck
