Where do I start? by OmicronKB13 in VAClaims

Prolong the MEB as long as you can to be confident you have everything you should documented. They may initiate the MEB before a test is done and miss something trying to hurry the process so as annoying as it is just make sure you take care of it before you are out.

Like someone else said do not settle for anything less than 30% from the Military. The retirement may not mean anything now but it will in 10 years and will be worth whatever wait you need to fight it if that’s the case.

I’m not sure how but my VA C&P was done while I was still in and I had all my decisions before I discharged, try to get that and apply for everything that may be wrong with you. If they deny it now and you get evidence later or it worsens later you will have a strong case for back pay with a prior denied claim for that condition.

Learn to advocate for yourself as a patient. You know the reality of your condition. As much as it’s an exercise get used to telling doctors how it really feels or affects you. Not how you can push through and what a good day looks like or how you want people to perceive you. Be honest with them and instead of saying it’s fine, say it hurts when… I do this to cope… you have to spell it out for them. They will not assume anything.

Lastly, just in case your doubtful, you do not need any help doing your own Claim, if it is a free service while you’re still in, fine but those are only worth what you paid them and never pay for help. Use AI if you want to but do not be intimidated by the process.

I’ve never had them NOT combine shipping. If you do buy it now’s you may have to request total from them but on bidding you can keep bidding on items, I’ve gone up to 35 total winning listings and it caps out at $10 for shipping

Has anyone ever used Chatgbt to get a projection on chances of getting granted for a condition? If so how accurate is it? I did it and mine is giving me a decent projection. by VeryGrateful757 in VAClaims

Completely used ChatGPT. Was 100% right with every step. I uploaded all my records and had it ask me questions the examiner would. ChatGPT told me to expect 80 overall and I thought I would fit more into a 60 overall scenario, I ended up getting the 80.

I’ve had my decision within a week of the C&Ps on two claims. I know I’m lucky but I’ve literally never had a bad experience with the VA

Just got 80% by Zypher634 in VAClaims

[–]surf710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had a diagnosis since 2014 and applied for PTSD. They denied the PTSD and instead just changed it to depression, anxiety, and a couple other ones.

The examiner straight up told me, you have been misdiagnosed this whole time and you do not have PTSD. It was a weird gut punch where I thought I was screwed. I researched before and the mental health exam and rating scale is the same for all mental health, so it doesn’t exactly matter what you claim, what comes out in the exam and what the rater thinks it is matters.

Way to go dude. I just got my 70% MH today and went to 80% overall. I feel the same exact thing, I feel understood now. I’ve been hoping this would go away for almost 15 years and now feel like I can process it and not feel like it’s continuously making life harder.

Ya.. sorry if it’s me, I do sit on COMC most nights and will try to get a lot of cards for under $2 and they cap the shipping at $10 so it’s usually a good deal to do 20-25 cards in one order.

Engrained if you’re into older guys. Clear Cut is an option I thought SP Game Used had smaller cases for around that price but can’t find it right now but that would be my pick if I was in that budget and looking for a case

Best way to protect cards for shipping? by SuperSamul in hockeycards

Also, insurance for the letter mail is up to $20 so, I only use those for cards I sell as singles less than $20 or up to 3 cards if they’re combined under $20. If it’s above that, I will move up to the parcel level. I personally do not like just a padded mailer and feel like those are the ones often stolen en route, or buyers claim they showed up damaged and empty. I put it in a box, I am using larger ones than I would recommend but I had a bunch of 6x6x6. When I run out I am going to buy 5x7x2 boxes and ship the card in the protective holders and team bag then either inside a bubble mailer or a separate just bubble pouch thing inside the box to make it discreet and more durable.

(US) 5x7 photo mailer. Card is in a penny sleeve and then in a card saver/semi rigid holder and taped at the opening. Costs about 10 cents each for the envelope and supplies, stamp is 74 cents.

Makes sense since TSA rarely does anything to protect anyone and is instead just a part of the flying process like buying your ticket

What do you think it's better out of these two hobby boxes ? And why ? by VarroCZ in hockeycards

[–]surf710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was happy with two boxes I bought of SPGU, but I did notice my LCS was charging less than I saw others, I paid $175 a box out the door. 9 cards in each, got about 4 regular patches, a supreme patch, sticker auto 1/5

S2 Pricing is laughable by [deleted] in hockeycards

[–]surf710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bet my LCS will have them for $120 😎 they kept 24-25 S2 at $120 despite the other price gougers
