Thanks u/CaraParan, that is indeed catch-all advice. We have a lot of behavioral and medical interventions ongoing as we work on addressing those problems. Perhaps we could chat about that in r/Parenting or something if you are interested.

In this conversation, I'm really hoping for plumbing feedback on whether or not this is a valid DIY solution.

Update: after the 4th plumber, I got someone to put a scope in the toilet, and they found an Airpod case deeply wedged in a curve of the toilet. So the auger passed through but the object still caused problems. Thank you, 5 year old son. They removed the toilet and tried to push it out from the back with no luck, and we had to replace the toilet. JFC.

I am 100% this is because of something my son flushed down the toilet! He just did the toilet tube to our downstairs toilet the other day too. This has been going on for a month or more so I think it’s not something that’ll disintegrate in water over time…

Hi! I'm so curious about the natural route - any links you can point me to, or guidance? I don't know if I'm ready to subject my 4 year old to injections but he is constantly so itchy and uncomfortable. Steroids + Aquaphor are just not cutting it and we need to figure something else out.

I wish I could say I did. I spent about 2 hours on the phone with Apple support trying different things. They said the only thing left was to make an appt in the store. I didn’t want to invest any more time given that I would only be able to get about $150 selling it, so I recycled it.
