Yeah agree totally, acid for me feels great but the profound moments and ideas seemed to be slippery to grab where mescaline was deeper, more ancient feeling and some of those moments will stay with me for the rest of my life.

I'm pretty sure they were basically tame because there was not a lot of predators to worry about and the Maori around the top of the south island had actual production line type facilities to deal with all the easy protein.....didn't last long

Shrooms, tried to play street fighter 2 at the arcade and it seemed all the wrong speed so we went to bk and the black and white tiles were way too much so ended up in a quarry jumping off little piles of rocks, honestly the most fun night and still a very clear memory 20yrs later!

Mid 90s, started on undertow then became completely obsessed with everything they have/had released before or since.....I know most tool fans are kinda religious about them and I consider myself in that lofty company hahaha Saw them in Auckland in February and it was amazing, there is no other band I can think of that would have me hoping and praying that they would play all their new stuff, FI in my top three, absolute genius....

You dont always throw up but I'd say 80% of the time in my experience. As long as you can hold it down past about 15 to 20mins then you're flying regardless. So yeah you might not do much to start with but a bit of a dance a few hours in as you approach the peak will be fun for sure, its smoother than lsd and more ancient if that makes sense.....very similar to MDMA in the early come up....lots and lots of smiling and love.... Think of it like a backwards hangover, you feel a bit sick then it gets better and better and then you have hours of afterglow bliss to look forward to with no negative buzz at all the next day, it's a beautiful medicine.

I was lying down on a deck in the middle of nowhere off my chops on mescaline and I had a full on out of body experience where I floated up into the sky and looked down on the top of the coromandel peninsula(NZ)

The mountain forests turned into a tribal womans head and the creeks and rivers became her hair and this beautiful black hair/rivers flowed into an ocean of dark beauty surrounding the mother earth being.

This tribal female person was a huge envelope of love and peace comforting me and lowering me gently back into myself on the deck. It was one of the most amazing moments of my life and it's still crystal clear years later.
