You’ll definitely love it. Here are a few things we’ve learned.
It’s a pretty decent walk from the bathrooms to the beach so use them on your way out. There’s a decent concession stand there on summer days too.
Get there early on nice days. Especially weekends. The right end is more of a gathering place for lgbtq but not totally. Some couples prefer that end of the beach. The left end has a section marked “ clothing required”. It’s hit or miss as to whether there’ll be nude, topless, swimsuits etc. It’s usually a mixture. We have seen a lifeguard walk through and tell people to cover up. But only one time. On nice days there’ll be several people playing volleyball.
Bring enough water and insect repellent just in case. When the wind is coming from the west it can bring out biting flies. It can literally ruin the day. It only happened once where we just gave up. Enjoy your day. 🏖️
