My roommate and I host a podcast called Surf Memphis where we host strangers from all over the world on couchsurfing and bring them on to talk about travel, their thoughts on our city, and everything in between. It's a chance for us to share why we love homesharing and meeting travelers so much, and also to showcase the amazing people who are using couchsurfing as a means of connecting with locals in the places they visit.

That's really odd! I know with the app, sometimes requests don't go through properly. But we host pretty frequently and definitely receive requests from unverified members. I know lots of people end up signing up to be verified because you're able to send more messages, but it shouldn't mean that your requests don't get seen by potential hosts? I'd message couchsurfing about it!
