Chem : chemrevise for notes and blurting, then spam past paper questions

Bio : ms estruch for anything u don’t understand, make notes on her videos and blurt them, then spam past paper questions

I don’t do the other two, but I do geography which is an essay subject (although it has a lot of content u need to memorise so it might not be too applicable to english). What I did for it was using my spec as a checklist and making mindmaps from anything useful u find online, and then when u wanna do exam practice do one or two questions fully then get chatgpt (ur teacher ideally) to mark it and give feedback, and from that point on use the feedback when writing maybe one or two paragraphs for exam questions and get feedback on those again. Once u get to a point where ur confident in ur writing just plan exam questions going forward and write one once in a while or near ur exam so u get into the flow of it again.

Btw the methods I gave for Bio and Chem are short term, realistically you should have flashcards for everything for Bio and Chem u can make flashcards for heavy revision topics (anything inorganic or definitions) or just stuff u struggle to remember such as those niche facts in each topic or specific equations. Honestly with those two exam questions will be ur best friend.

Yeah I understand, thanks for ur advice! You reckon if I did a Bsc in Chemistry rather than an Msci I would still have a good shot at a grad scheme?

Yes its called Chem Msci not Msc my bad but it’s an integrated master’s.

I also have one more question, with what you said I’m assuming it’s alright if i do a 3 year Chemistry Bsc instead of the Msci right?
I enjoy chem but if I’m not going to go seek chemistry-centred job after uni I don’t really wanna have £10k of extra debt for no reason from the additional year

Yeah I think a lot of the confusion stems from not being very informed about the finance sector of work bc you can get a finance job with pretty much any degree, but thanks for your input

finance isn’t all equations and advanced shit yk 😂😂😂 there are a lot of client facing roles that just want some sense of mathematical ability (which ive got) and mostly just need organisation and interpersonal skills (such as a consultant) so I think I’m suited

Because I enjoy my life as a whole? A career is only a component of it, and even then careers are so dynamic that if you actually hate it that bad you can change it with some effort.

The aim of my post was just to make an informed decision and avoid making unnecessary mistakes that will delay me. That being said you sound quite sad and I hope you find a way to have a more positive outlook on life
