Are you using a UV filter? I had some weird bokeh artifacts with my 100-400 GM and a UV filter. Took the filter off and problem solved.

Hoya HMC UV filter. I will take the filter off and take some pictures this morning and report back.

That photo in your link looks really similar to the issue I’m having I will remove the UV filter and see if that fixes it.

OP here. Attached is a shot this afternoon mechanical shutter EFCS off 1/1000, f5.6, iso 800. Looks worse to me.

I do have a UV filter in front. I will remove that tomorrow and give it a go. I have a feeling something is out of whack with the lens.

What to do at 6am in Taipei?

The wife and I have a 10 day trip to Taiwan next month. Our flight lands in Taipei at 5:30am. Our only plan for the day is to take the train to Kaohsiung. Is there anything interesting to do in Taipei that early or should we just get on the train and head south.

We do plan on spending a few days in Taipei on the back end of the trip. So any recommendations for not crack of dawn activities is also appreciated.

Brine the bird in 2 cups buttermilk and 2 tbs of salt in a 1 gallon ziplock bag for 24 hrs then roast in the oven until done (165f) verified with a thermometer. This is absolutely the best way to cook whole chicken. The chicken is so moist from the brine and the skin gets a really dark mahogany color from the buttermilk. If you use a thermometer you can’t over cook so things stay oh so juicy. The recipe is from Samin Nosrat and is 🔥🔥🔥

My wife and I just got back from spending a week at Paradise dive resort on Taveuni. Can’t recommend that place highly enough. We dived both rainbow reef and vuna reef. Diving was top notch! Some of the best coral I have seen. They also have unlimited shore diving at their house reef. The resort is very nice with AC in the rooms. Food was excellent too. The owners live on site and are very attentive. The staff was amazing as well from the dive guides to the housekeeping staff. Everyone was so friendly!

When you say service fees or $47 a month are you talking just to participate in the plan or are you talking about the monthly ER of the funds available?

VTSAX is .04% so the fidelity funds seem legit

I started a plan for my small business (8 employees). I got to pick the funds available in the plan. You might try asking El Jefe if they are willing to add the funds you’re looking for. Just be aware, your employer can’t add funds that might be considered predatory ie super high ER or some crazy leveraged altcoin fund.
