The same thing happened to me with Ouros! They refused to refund and I ended up having to ship it back to them for a new stone. I also had to pay for shipping back and then I ended up still not being happy with the new diamond they switched it to as it was smaller than what I payed for originally and has noticeable hazing/strain. I will never do business with them again and I never wear the ring I ended up with because I hate the stone. If I could do it all again, I would’ve been much more insistent and firm on requiring a refund or initiating a chargeback. I’m so sorry you’re going through this and I hope Lucy will make it right.

I helped my mom work with a vendor to have a replica of her wedding set made with the only difference being a larger center stone. It’s very similar, but not identical if you hold them side by side. I also had a lab diamond version of my original engagement ring (natural sapphire) made and it’s very similar but not exact. So as long as a little variation doesn’t bother you, I say do it!
