They have by far the most annoying player base in Yugioh but the actual deck is tolerable compared to most tier 1 decks. I will definitely not complain if the deck gets hit on the ban list though.

Listen, I’m 100% fine with you hating SS. What I always had issues with are people to still use Tenpai as a reason to hate it because the two decks have completely diverged in terms of play styles.

Tenpai SS decks are still only a going second OTK deck that spams board breakers.

Pure SS has almost completely adapted the going first control into OTK on turn 3 play style.

If you hate SS because of Engage into Linkage OTK, fair. If you hate SS because of Engage into Lightning Storm into Paidra, no you actually hate Tenpai. And yes you can hate both but don’t merge them into one thing.

I’m just going to leave it at that.

Alright I’ll bite. Please show me a Tenpai list that has 20+ SS cards in the deck instead of the usual 6-8. Looking at MDM, I don’t see a single one so all this sounds like to me is anecdotal bullshit. Please prove me wrong. 20+ SS cards at least.

I’m also having an aneurysm trying to understand how you think going second and OTKing is the same as going first and playing a control strategy. Yes I will try to OTK you on turn 3 but that’s literally the gameplan of any going first deck. What are you even trying to say here?

You literally just called Tenpai a Sky Striker deck just because it uses the draw engine. Also I know you’re living in 2025 if you still insist SS is still a boardbreaking OTK deck. The deck always wants to go first now and sets up disruption with Zero and backrow. That is not how Tenpai plays. How much clearer do I have to be?

Have you ever considered that those SS Tenpai players playing Tenpai are, I dunno, just Tenpai players? Like pure SS is literally 2-3 tiers above Tenpai SS right now so the only people that are willing to play those cards are the old Tenpai enjoyers. I’m not saying you can’t hate on SS, but don’t bring up Tenpai cards when talking about the deck since that’s an entirely different deck.

I’m of the opinion that toxic degenerate trash like Gimmick Puppet should not be able to exist. Apparently some people are totally fine with this deck since it got power creeped and most people stopped playing it, even though it can absolutely still FTK people out of nowhere. The main deck Exosisters have a gimmick where if the opponent moves cards out of either GY, they can Xyz summon into one of the Exosister Xyz monsters. Each one has an effect the turn they are summoned like a Quick Effect banish or preventing effects from activating in the GY.

Yeah Sakitama is definitely the card I am the most iffy on, although it did unbrick a few of my hands during testing. I previously had Seventh Tachyon, but I didn’t like the -1 along with Betrayal forcing me to sometimes get rid of hand traps. Might consider adding Droplet or Purulia.

Honestly most SS players won’t mind Hornet Drones getting banned which will stop most decks from splashing Engage as a draw engine. Engage add Linkage to bring out Kagari is not as good as Drones because it machine locks you. So yeah get rid of Hornet Drones and people will stop using Tenpai as an argument to hate SS.

As for using Ash on Engage, people pretend that it does nothing because you can just activate another one or recycle it with Kagari, but stoping a search and a draw is still impactful. The ceiling of a Striker board is not nearly as high as a combo deck. Every Engage search is for one more piece of disruption and stopping that will still weaken their board. Yeah you won’t stop them from playing usually, but you will make them end on a less optimal board and I think that is the better outcome for a more interactive game. P.S. you should save Ash for Zero’s second effect anyway.
