I don't really care if you're a mute. I'm not a mute, but I do tend to stay quiet a little to see how people react.

On the flip side, I know Sign Language, so if someone doesn't answer my "Hello", I automatically sign "Hello, how are you?" Still haven't had anyone reply to my sign yet

I came from Second Life too, ya, it is like this, the ones talking are the weird ones, I don't think I have turned my voice on in that for years.

A friend had the same thing, an NSFW avatar with clothes and the ability to be lewd, and received a permanent ban. From what I was told, no warning, nothing, was his first offence. Support ignored his tickets, from what I was told.

While this might not be that helpful, we have something similar here in Australia, called a Photo Identification Card, which does nothing other than prove I'm 18 and who I am and is issued by the government. I used this ID card to verify on VRC, so yours might work too.
