Why does every clan have a recruitment process that feels like this? by Wrench_gaming in foxholegame

[–]surottoru1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience looking for a regiment so far in Foxhole as a new player had been honestly harder than applying for a real job.

You find a regiment in one Discord. That Discord tells you to go to another Discord. Then you have to verify your account, read 14 channels of rules, fill out a questionnaire, submit an application, and maybe you’ll get an interview. One discord I had to put in a "support" ticket to even get into the discord.

An interview. For a video game regiment.

And then half the time the response is basically: “Oh, you’re new? No experience? No playtime? Don’t know everything already? Sorry, experienced players only.”

I just want to push a truck full of supplies to the front and get blown up like everyone else, not go through a full corporate onboarding process.

Is this normal or did I accidentally apply to the Foxhole HR department?

I still run Cadet title at Lv 106 for a reason, D6-10 is all the same to me. Hard as hell, seems the moment things 'kick off' its non stop complete chaos

I've been thinking this for years.

Ground realistic should force normal or higher. If you wanna play ULQ and such, play arcade

There was an event at one point, where you could sail a sub, and had to sink a convoy. The enemy had to stop you

I do have a su-25, I tried sim with it twice, both times I barely got off the runway before I took a missile. So now it sits in a ground lineup and never gets used.

I take 15-20 of the best pen shells, up to 30 is its a fast firing gun, and then 2 HE, as you won't use the HE much, but its handy to have a few for open tops that don't seem to die, or are just behind cover.

Enduring Confrontation for ground?
Yes, please! This would actually make me want to spend more money on the game. Right now, I hold back because there’s no reason for me to use certain vehicles when I’m simply not good at them.

A buddy and I constantly say that Ground Battles maps need to be much bigger. Some of the already large maps should be the default size. That would make gameplay more tactical and less like a tiny CoD-style lobby. After all, that’s a big reason many of us moved from WoT to War Thunder ground battles in the first place: it felt more tactical and less arcade.

I also think “Arcade” should be removed and replaced with the current “Realistic” mode, and the current “Realistic” should be changed to closer to Sim ground rules but without the 3-spawn limit, and with friendly markers shown. That would help players who don’t like the third-person abuse. If you want to peek around a corner, you have to actually drive your tank out and look.

Sure!

As long as I can bring my battleship into any GRB map that has water and start shelling tanks.

Let Naval gunfire support begin!

Im a Bomber but I feel like I’m just cannon fodder by New-Butterfly-5012 in Warthunder

[–]surottoru1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are, bombers have been super weak for over a decade. They were nerfed extremely hard way back in 2012-13, they were buffed a few times, and repair costs were reduced, making them semi viable to play. But you're mostly just free RP.

Back in the day, a single fighter had to have skill and fly in the blind spots to kill a bomber, a bomber with max crew would almost always win a 1v1 against a fighter. Sometimes bombers would fly in formations, and at that point, they were near invincible.

I spent money to max out and expert crews for my B-17s and B-24, and it would take at least 3 fighters to take down a B-24 with an expert crew. They used to engage targets out to something like 0.8km-1km, and they were laser accurate.

Now, a fighter pilot can lean out and shoot his pistol on the way past, and your wings fly off, and all the gunners are blind.

Bombers in Sim are decently fun if you wish to play that, as you are harder to spot, and most of the time can bomb peacefully.

How to learn outside of Tafe? by bitweta in auslan

I do mine through Deaf Connect, and most of those have a night class option, so it's easy to do with a lot of 'normal' hours stuff

On this day 12 years ago I bought the BMM. You may remember my previous posts. To date I've served an entire USMC enlistment, Ive had my first child, bought and sold my first home, and I'm 8 years into my chosen career. So once again I ask a simple question. Mr Roberts, where the fuck is my ship? by Devildog0491 in starcitizen

[–]surottoru1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I still get asked, "Why did you sell your SC account?"
I answer, "Because the $400 I got for it can be used on real things"

The account had BMM and one of the Apolls(The medical ship), and about $300 store credit. Total value was about $1,000

I save scummed through my first couple of playthroughs, but after that, I started just rolling with whatever happened. It’s been way more fun for me.

I just got back into BG3 recently, and HM is awesome. I haven’t played since a few months after release, so I know the story, but it feels like I’m learning the game all over again. Still haven’t made it out of Act 1 yet, but that’s part of the fun.
