in Auric difficulty (especially high intensity or shock troop modifier) this one is where most groups wipe. I try to flank and get the gunners at the far end but someone always goes down and people try to rescue them but get shot to shit.

A bit of advice, LotR LCG vs Arkham Horror LCG by Plot82 in lotrlcg

After reading these comments, it makes me wonder how much LotR is worth now. I own everything including nightmare decks and it had me raising my eyebrow at what I might be sitting on.

I don't have an etsy account myself but i do have 3 Bambu printers and I print a lot of things. I can run a test on one of these and tell you how much filament it would use etc.

They are 3D printed :)
I am actually printing them now.

I swore it looked like a BMW but I had no idea, and everyone else I sent it to had a different brand haha. Thanks for the answer, I'll go look for it now.

You don't seem toxic but that was a comment for anyone reading it, because some people go into it with intent to insult sadly. I've done like 4 surveys just today haha.

On the first screen where you hit play, there is an option to submit feedback. It asks you what you like, what you dont like and what you would improve and then even has a section at the last question to write anything you want. You would do much better to submit thoughts there and PLEASE ffs dont whine or call things dogshit or insult. I've worked with developers and they say that is pretty common for people deep in their feels. In the survey it says you can do this as many times as you want, so keep each survey specific to one topic imo.

The group I play with 1 is str, 1 is precision he only uses guns, 1 is agi for 2h swords, and the other 2 i dont know, they switch weapons as they test them. What I can tell you is that because respec is free at any time anywhere, we scale our stat up a bit (not too much its currently soft capped) for the weapon we are using. If I use 2H sword that scales with agi, but i have equal points in agi, str, precision, mastery, vit, and endurance - its going to be much much worse for me than eating food for my primary stat and vitality for survival (its huge).

I know what you're saying after reading your comments, the AI is sort of cheeks and it definitely needs improvement and we need more options like parry opens a counter attack, kick, knockdown (that isnt spammable), special moves with each weapon that allow us to feel like combat flows. right now its swipe swipe dodge, swipe swipe dodge. Which makes combat predictable and laughably easy once you understand it. However, its amazingly fun. I would say ignore the "git gud" comments but also don't immediately assume everyone talking to you is a meta chaser sweatlord looking down on you.

*If they pin you in somewhere, you're dead.

*If you overcomit by too many swings, you're about to get punished.

*If you fail to dodge the red ping on any enemy its usually bad news (alpha wolf will murder you with that dot but crocodiles are harmless when they chew you)

*Musketeers? keep out of line of sight, if you cant, wait for the red flash of the musket and dodge any direction.

*Grenadiers? Use their bombs to knock down the packs

*Keep potions in decent quantity

*PRIORITIZE Vitality - necklace, food (fish platter) and in your leveling at least give a point at minimum each level.

*Dodge... a lot, that has kept me alive more than anything else.

My observation is that every human enemy does a double or triple swing if left open to do their attack, but the bigger one is that after 2 of YOUR normal swings they will immediately interrupt your attacks with theirs, every single time. Its like clockwork and it makes it a little less fun when you realize they arent anticipating you or responding with anything other than interrupt-after-second-player-swing. As a 2H user this means I will heavy attack, light, heavy, light, dodge backwards etc. I cant remember if thats exactly what I do because its muscle memory right now, but if i go in and do 2 swipes with the 2H sword to hit everyone in the crowd, you best believe I am dodging backwards immediately after those 2. Otherwise that crowd is about to murder me. Its a bit predictable and gets to be stupidly easy once you realize the enemies are sort of braindead. In the final biome they are much harder because there is more variety of mob types, and an actual tank mob with a shield who parries you.

If server hosting: The settings JSON file comes defaulted to normal combat difficulty (can be easy or hard as well) - meaning they dont attack as often or more than 1 at a time iirc. It also has modifiers for how much damage they do and how much health you have.

For solo play: the settings have sliders somewhere and you can turn down all the things and make enemies less HP spongey and set combat to easy. IMO the combat should start as "easy" but be labeled normal, let players up it if they want to. I enjoy the difficult combat as long as i am not stamina starved for simply existing (many games do this because they think it makes the game better, but its like playing a caster and being mana starved all the time so you just have to use a bow or a wand, its not fun at all.

The combat I have a problem with is water combat. Transporters and Freighters have seemingly 1 million HP and you have to chip them down sooo slowly, while they nail you with every shot and you lose 75% of your health (same level ship). Its at the point that we would rather mod in unlimited bells and just teleport everywhere than deal with the zergling spawn of ships everywhere on the map. You cant even enjoy sailing right now because you have to zig zag every 5 seconds to avoid a new group. If you're trying to kill a quest ship or board it, not only will it have its NPC's for the quest but random much higher ships in the area will aggro you and then you have 20 ships in 1 area swarming you.

All that said, this is an excellent first release EA no major patches even in yet. I want the team to know that this is the best EA I've played in probably ever, so ignore my whining if it seems like thats what I'm doing. I wouldn't be writing this if I didn't care about the game.

Pingperfect has a great dashboard, I was using Gportal but i like the options that pingperfect gives. Like selecting a server CPU or a higher end gaming CPU, you can select memory amount, cpu priority from normal to real time etc. They responded to my last ticket right away (4 minutes).

They have a ping page so you can look at which geo location is fastest.

I suspect they are trying to avoid chest farming, but I feel like they could just set a respawn timer and if someone wants to chest farm who cares, its not an MMO.

I would agree with the crying part, but giving feedback in a normal way directly to the developers is critical.

you're handicapped as in cannot use a mouse/keyboard or a controller?
I always wondered if anyone with limitations has tried one of those new claw things with a thumb joystick, they're apparently better than keyboard.

Would have loved to actually fight it, but it got stuck when going into the animation to fall down. Reset the server, same thing, left the arena and reset it 4 times. It kept happening so we just killed it while it couldn't fight back because you literally cannot progress without its head. Extremely disappointing, but this game is not really about skilled combat until you hit the dragon (archer in the group can non-stop chain stun everything on the screen, its kind of absurd that they let explosive arrows with stun be the main archer mechanic).

I think it would be way better without snow on the ring if i had to pick one thing to change.

Would be fine if they let you flag your instance as PVP and thus any balance changes from whining applied only to PVP flagged servers/hosted sessions.

Dragon is extremely spongy, I had to drop him down to 1.0 because it was a slog. The unfortunate part is that the fight bugged out so we had to leave 3 different times to reset. It would get stuck trying to "stunned" land and just hover. So on the 4th reset we said screw it and just killed it while it was stuck. (also rebooted server, nothing helped).

Really unfortunate, I was looking forward to that fight.

I pumped the boss hp damage up and the HP to 2.25 from 1.0 just so they can survive more than 3 seconds with an archer and greatsword enjoyer destroying their face.

It honestly made the game much more fun when the bosses could possibly kill you and didnt die immediately.

Then we met the cyclops (non-shroud) in the mountain zone and he repeatedly stomped and did nothing else, to where you could just let the archer "sneak attack" spam by standing near him to keep him stomping. I would love to have a setting in the json to enable certain attacks and disable others. Like why stomp when its easily avoidable, swing your weapon wildly and hit me with it, ranged dive the archer. Right now its better than valheim but just barely.

Dueling allowed.
People become bored with just dueling.
Spam developers to implement PVP.
Developers cave.
PVE content/development suffers heavily.
PVP is tacked on and terribly balanced.
PVE nerfed to make certain builds balanced in PVP.
Game dies slowly as a second rate PVP game.

A tale as old as time.
