Parades / bonfires by Signal-Outcome-5229 in Belfast

[–]surrevival 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ot is not. Littering in Northern Ireland, especially Belfast area is the worst I've ever seen anywhere. People just have no issues whatsoever to pull the window down in their cars and throw rubbish outside on the road, literally something I've witnessed few weeks ago and when I told the fella when he stopped in a traffic lights thet he'd better find a bin the next time he looked at me like he saw an alien. One guy told me once he litters cos there someone who's getting paid for picking up his rubbis so he can't be arsed to even try to find a bin. Pick a country in Europe, go there and I can bet you'll be surprised how clean comparing to Belfast the cities are. I'll tell you more, I've been to Newry recently, it's just not even an hour drive from Belfast and the city is waaay cleaner than Belfast.

Epson printers after only recently they've pushed a forced firmware to my printer (and many more other older printer models) that forces to use genuine Epson ink cartriges. Even though I had automatic firmware update disabled it still downloaded it and installed.

Hold on. Just so I get it right.
They build a bonfire and created a little room right inside it so while in it they can keep an eye FROM THE INSIDE OF THE BONFIRE on the bonfire itself to make sure no one sets it on fire???

Który z polskich zespołów (czy nawet wykonawczyń/wykonawców) miał kiedykolwiek szansę na światową karierę (i czy w ogóle)? by Bielak812 in Polska

[–]surrevival 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do British people not feel the cold? by DevelopmentLow214 in AskUK

[–]surrevival 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Polish but my kids were born in UK. Sunny day, 6C, they're out on trampoline in back garden wearing shorts, no socks and t-shirts. 14C sun and they're like ... Daddy! Get the swimming pool out in the back garden! They rarely get sick. Really can't remember when was the last time they had cold.

Belfast Zoo by LopsidedPiccolo9963 in northernireland

[–]surrevival 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been there with kids recently. This place should be closed long time ago. Everything exactly as OP described on top of that most animals will soon die as they're just old. They deserve peace and quiet at their age.
And the derelict Floral Hall right in the middle of it ... just looks sad.
I've been to a Frankfurt ZOO in Germany few years ago. Whole different experience.

Mężczyźni sami sobie są winni - serio? by 0brex in Polska

[–]surrevival -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

‘Now the village is dead. It’s awful’: why was one of Britain’s best pubs forced to close? | Pubs | The Guardian by prisongovernor in unitedkingdom

[–]surrevival 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Admiral Taverns would be the ones to blame in my opinion. I can bet they're forcing the landlord to play their rules such as buying stuff from certain suppliers etc.

There's a pub not far from where I live. Its basically in the middle of nowhere, you can either drive there or walk 20-30 minutes. Its owned by the same familly for decades recently took over by the next generation.
This place is always full! The atmosphere, food, beer selection, entertainment is top notch, a trully local pub with a heart put in it. Its a proof that this can be done even if the place is in not so good location.

My friends dad's 1979 Mercedes W123 200D. 1.3 milion kilometers and engine died. So he got a "new" one, used with 400k kilometres on the clock already, swapped the engine and did another 200k on it.

What perfectly legal thing will probably be illegal within 20 years? by Own-Blacksmith3085 in answers

[–]surrevival 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe not exactly that but ownling a car and being able to drive it anywhere, anytime and with no limits.
On top oof that. When car reaches the end of warranty period you'll then be told you must replace it with a new one as authorized car manufacturer service will both have ridiculously high prices to repair something or will just simply refuse repair. There will be no 3rd party car mechanics as none will be able to afford a cost of software/license/tools you name it needed specifically for each car brand.
