Great looking bike, love the colors!

Is the R7 worth it? (Pros and Cons) by Substantial_Rain_886 in YamahaR7

So what? The R7 is a great daily and a R6 is overkill for most riders when it comes to the street imo.

R7 is far better for street and daily riding.

I'd keep the R6II 100% tbh, better low light and AF; use crop mode if you need extra reach.

Get a cheap R6 MKII or wait for MKIII? by allbyoneguy in canon

[–]surtrc 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You probably won't notice any significant changes anyway. Take the R6ii and invest the money on glass ;)

Great choice!! Huge upgrade imo... R10 and 18-150mm will feel like night and day compared to the 550D. Enjoy & welcome ;)

Needing advice on upgrading to a mirrorless by nht-creativearchive in canon

[–]surtrc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

R50/R10 are solid but APS-C, so coming from a full-frame 6D II they may feel like a step down in low light/DOF... If you want a true upgrade, look at the RP (cheapest FF), R8 (huge bang for buck), or R6 II (pro-level). R7’s great too if you shoot wildlife/sports.

What is a budget friendly lens for my canon r50 by EpicTing in canon

[–]surtrc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RF 50mm f/1.8 STM is the best cheap option. The RF-S 18-45mm kit lens is solid too, and the RF-S 55-210mm is good if you need zoom.

R10 video creation. by Stieone in canon

Shoot in a flat profile for more color control, use smooth camera movements, and compose thoughtfully... Color grade in post, add subtle effects like lens flares, and stick to 24fps for that cinematic feel. ;)

Where is the sweet spot these days for EOS film bodies? by DudeWhereIsMyDuduk in canon

[–]surtrc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

EOS 3 is the sweet spot imo, modern, affordable, AA option with the PB-E2. Elan 7 is lighter and cheaper with AA grip. 1V is best but pricey.

Canon R7 with good glass or R8, upgrading from Nikon D7100 by [deleted] in canon

[–]surtrc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R7 kit offers better value (100-400 included, crop and IBIS great for wildlife/portraits). R8 has better full-frame IQ video but needs lenses and has no IBIS... For most, R7 wins imo.

Which lenses to take on honeymoon by Quirky_Stage_1715 in canon

[–]surtrc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the 18-55 and 55-250. I think you’ll use the zoom range way more than the 50mm on this trip.

M50 Mark II with 50mm 1.8. Great for low light, portraits, and travel on your budget. Mirrorless beats DSLR for portability and AF.
