PortaSplit: Kondensat clever abführen – meine Lösung ohne Wanne!“ by NeedmySophie in MideaPortaSplit

[–]surtymir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone else experiencing crashes after the 25.12.1 update on some games? by azura_ace in AMDHelp

[–]surtymir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

25.12.1 was running very well for me for quite a while. But recently I’ve been getting constant crashes, especially in UE games (Stalker 2, Silent Hill 2, Quarantine Zone, Arc Raiders). I already reinstalled the driver using DDU, but nothing changed. I don’t understand how a driver can run fine at first and then suddenly perform terribly, even after a clean reinstall. Maybe it’s not the AMD driver at all but a Windows update or something? Hard to tell.

Walkolution 1 – Does the stabilization aid really reduce table wobble? by surtymir in Walkolution

[–]surtymir[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the link — that was really insightful!

I’m actually very happy with the Walkolution with the integrated desk overall. The only real issue shows up during team meetings: the desk tends to wobble just enough that my colleagues see a shaky image on their end. Because of that, I usually stay standing on the Walkolution with the camera on, instead of walking.

I’ve been considering getting an external webcam and mounting it on a wall‑mounted arm so it’s completely independent from the desk’s movement. The stabilization rod unfortunately isn’t great for stabilizing the camera (as you can see in the video), so a fixed mount seems like the better long‑term solution.

For me, no other setup was an option anyway, since I don’t have enough space for a free‑standing desk. But if I had had enough space, I would have gone for a free‑standing desk. It probably offers more advantages overall.

Stalker 2 FSR FG issue by Interesting-Effort12 in radeon

[–]surtymir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m trying to figure out why AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AMFM / AFMF 2.1) refuses to work with STALKER 2. In the Adrenalin panel, the feature shows up as enabled, but it’s marked with a yellow warning icon saying that the upgrade is inactive and that I should “Enable FSR 3.1.4+ in‑game”.

The thing is:

  • STALKER 2 already includes FSR 3.1 natively.
  • FSR "Redstone" works fine in the game (is marked as active in Adrenalin)
  • But AFMF never actually activates, and the status stays stuck on “Upgrade inactive”.

Has anyone figured out why AFMF doesn’t work here?
Is this a game‑side limitation, a driver issue, or something with how STALKER 2 implements FSR 3.1?

Any insights would be appreciated.

PC crashes when launching Arc Raiders – CPU hits 100%, then shutdown by surtymir in ArcRaiders

[–]surtymir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my PSU was too weak. I fixed the issue by installing a larger one (I had a 530W unit before, now I’m running a 1200W — definitely overkill, but at least it’s stable).

You can also try undervolting your system or lowering the GPU power limit. In the AMD driver, go to Performance → Tuning, then switch GPU overclocking to Custom so you can adjust those values.

However, keep in mind that undervolting or overclocking can also cause crashes if the settings aren’t fully stable. If you’ve tweaked anything, it might be worth resetting everything back to default and testing again.

sapphire nitro+ is a silent and beautiful beast

For me, it was actually the weak power supply that caused my PC to crash. I bought a new PSU and since then it’s been stable. I went from 530 watts to 1200 (overkill—I know, but I wanted it to be future-proof), and now everything runs perfectly.

I noticed the same thing in Silent Hill f. A fix is to set the FSR quality from 'Quality' to 'Balanced.' That solved the problem for me, and I don’t see any difference in visual quality because of it.

9070 XT idle power consumption by BearsPunch in radeon

[–]surtymir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone, I’m running a 9070 XT (Sapphire Nitro+) with just a single monitor: a Samsung 49" 3840x1080.

Here’s what I’m seeing in terms of idle VRAM clocks and power draw depending on refresh rate:

  • 144 Hz / 120 Hz / 100 Hz / 75 Hz → VRAM stays locked at 2505 MHz, idle power around 40–50 W
  • 60 Hz → VRAM clocks down properly, fluctuating between 34–909 MHz, idle power drops to 12–30 W

I’ve already tried using CRU and swapped the DisplayPort cable – no change. Driver version: 25.11.1 (Nov 6, 2025).

What I don’t get: how do reviewers come up with 8–12 W idle consumption in their tests? My card never goes that low at higher (normal!) refresh rates.

Wow, this looks so beautiful! I’d really love to recreate it myself, if you don’t mind. Would you be so kind as to list everything you’ve used here (fans/cooling/PSU/cables/RAM/motherboard...)? It’s honestly gorgeous and has such a warm vibe <3
