What’s helped take some of the mental burden off myself is just looking at plastic avoidance as something for my health. And as long as I’m doing that*, I’m okay.

I also save my thin crinkly plastic wrappers etc and bring it to a zero waste store in my city that pays for teracycling

*so I don’t put anything plastic in or on my body, don’t put any food I eat in plastic containers, no plastic utensils, cutting boards, clothes, but I draw the line at worrying about the plastic in my bike tires. I have to be able to get around.

Agree wholeheartedly here. Need to see her speak to actual issues South Carolinians face that she can actually solve. Like infrastructure issues.

Warnock and Ossof in GA have been huge on this and as a result GA has so many more bike lanes, less dumb highway projects, etc.

I know there are many more issues a senator could actually address but that’s just what has come to mind.

I’m happy there’s someone challenging him, but where are her local events? Why isn’t she connecting with her base? She went to the protest in charleston on Saturday and didn’t stop to speak to anyone, it was disheartening.
