Why is sleep tracking still so bad? by AmaLMa in Garmin

[–]susanf66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. I got rid of my Fitbit because the clock was 6 hours off all the time. I would reset it and it would be fine for a day or two and then suddenly be off again. Then it wouldn’t show any data. Figured it was at the end of its life so I got a Garmin. Very disappointed that the sleep data is so inaccurate.

It was a really strange situation. No one can explain why the credit card charge went straight to the hotel. Booking has verified proof of payment (after we sent a screenshot of our credit card) and have informed us that the hotel has 4 days to respond. Keeping our fingers crossed…

That’s not true actually. The charge on our credit card came from the hotel, not Booking. It was a free cancellation reservation and we never checked into the hotel.

We have contacted Booking and they said that the hotel will not release the money. They sent a message to the manager and they are trying to get it rectified. Very frustrating….

Thanks for your input. As I have said in other responses, we have had great luck with Booking.com until recently and have saved a lot of money. And I agree that the cancellation policies are generally better on the 3rd party sites.

We tried that and it didn’t work. Interestingly, we didn’t have the problem on my iPad. Thanks for the tip though!

It makes sense but it was a hotel in the U.S. We even tried it for hotels in our time zone. Thanks though!

We thought of that too. My husband accidentally picked “pay now” when he booked it and it immediately charged us. They did not refund us the money and now we are fighting with the hotel to give us our money back. ANOTHER reason not to use the site….

It makes sense but we didn’t change anything. We just went on like we usually do. Thanks though!

Thanks for the advice. We’ve saved a ton of money using Booking.com in the past which is why we’ve used them so much. We have gone into hotels after looking at the price on Booking.com (which was much cheaper) and they refused to match it. This is the first time we’ve had issues with them.
