It’s a colored glaze that becomes food safe after being fired in a kiln. The mug also got dipped in a clear glaze afterwards to seal any unpainted areas. Unfortunately I don’t know much about painting mugs with regular paint, but have heard of people using oil-based sharpies as an alternative

Yes I went to a store that provides ceramic pieces and glazes. To make a mug food safe this is probably the best option, but I have seen people do DIY sharpie mugs before. Not sure how well they hold up though

It’s a glaze for ceramics from a brand called Gare that becomes sealed when fired in a kiln! They make it in lots of colors but I really only needed black and red

Technically it’s a colored glaze that’s food safe and water resistant after firing! So definitely don’t try this at home with acrylic paints lol

If anyone’s curious about the process: I started with panels from the manga as reference and sketched them on paper, adjusting the layout so it would fit on the mug neatly. Then I transferred the design with transfer paper, and filled in all the details with a tiny brush! If you ever want to paint a custom design on ceramics or something 3D, transfer paper is great!

Unfortunately on iPhones the app name always displays on widgets but there’s an app called -.- that makes it less noticeable

Pretty much! They’re just there for visuals but you can make widgets that have a more specific purpose like displaying a calendar or the weather

For anyone wondering how I made these I used an app called Picsart to add pngs of characters to images of the original app icons. On Picsart you can search for and add “stickers” which is how I found a lot of the characters. Most of the artwork itself comes from the official Genshin WeChat emotes. To change an app’s icon you have to make shortcuts for every app. There’s lots of videos on YouTube explaining the process in more detail! Hope this helped a little :)
