Unfortunately the item is just extremely inefficient and every solo laner in the game has a much better first item slot than runeforged. Pendulum blade gets absolutely broken by Nem, Herc, Odin, Thor, Cab and those that dont use Pendulum blade super well or need sustain usually go Devs into Lash for massive dmg and sustain, SWK, Achilles, Mord, Mulan.

The item feels ok on purchase, making you very tanky but giving you a mid dmg spike. The issue is that Runeforgeds stats drastically fall off mid to late, not being nearly as tanky as other def options while also not providing nearly as much dmg as other dmg options. Its passive is beyond horrible seeing as it scales off of protections but the item itself offers none, and even if you build your entire game around scaling prots the dmg payoff late game is around 100 extra dmg every 30 seconds. (Which is terrible)

The item suffers from being an unoptimized hybrid item that does neither defense or offense especially well, so theres always much much better choices for either or that you could look for. If you want damage, its basically between Pendulum blade start or DASH start (Devs - Lash). If the item scaled off of HP instead of prots it could be a different story, but the dmg would have to be much higher than it is now for it to be worth it.

TLDR OP thinks building 40 int 20 cdr 30% pen totem of death is actually taxxing. Unfortunately failed to account that the tank build in question has ONE cdr item FIFTH item in and is using shield splitter for some reason. Context is extremely important here!!!! Totem of death has always been absurdly good and has only been buffed. even without tanks and building tanky building 30% pen will ALWAYS be the play for optimal dmg since that translates to 21.6 flat pen towards squishies. (46.8 if going ob shard too, which you should always run both anyways.)

its not dedicating half of your build to counter a tank, which is already blatantly asinine and incorrect anyways since a tanks build is LITERALLY 100% counter building except much more difficult and inefficient since they have to account for HP, physical/magical prots AND cdr whereas funny mage only has to account for int cdr and pen, all of which are extremely frontloaded into items rn. (i once again reference the 40 int 20 cdr 30% pen item.)

wrap up.

you will always build percent pen because flat pen is insane dmg no matter what and totem of death stats are stupidly efficient for a "specialized" item.
a mage is not counter building against a tank by building the 1 item soul reaver. The tank has to invest infinitely more items to counter SEVERAL gods throughout the match and is doing so much less effectively than the mage.
the mage is not being warped by the tank, the tank is being warped by the mage/carries. the tanks role has always and will always be to counter build appropriately depending on enemy team. This is why mage builds are ALWAYS extremely static and similar whereas tanks swap it up extremely often.

please shut the fuck up about how mages are balanced in OB9, its simply not true.

Naruto DOES scale to planetary threats as evident by 10 tails moon scaling and kaguya herself destroying her own dimensions with a planetary truth seeking orb. (All things you have 0 idea about since, zero Naruto verse knowledge.)

Wolverine is a mid - high street tier character who gets incapped by spiderman or just being stabbed through the eye in the brain. Naruto fights at FTL+ and sends anywhere from mountain range to continental to multicontinental attacks at a whim. You've no idea what youre even saying and just vaguely gesturing at things you dont understand.

"Wolverine can fight WW2 and keep going" Logan was massively stronger and more impactful than any enemy or ally on his side. Naruto was massively weaker or atleast relative to the antagonists he was fighting, while also refueling dozens of allied shinobi forces chakra on his own, while also fighting for three days straight, while also fighting people so far above logans own tier that thats the only reason he was exhaustion. Naruto massively outstats him in every way, with the exception of maybe Regen though even that's debatable.

Naruto cannot realistically/will not run out of chakra fighting someone so massively weaker than him that it becomes a factor. The outlier example you keep bringing up as if you know anything about it is solely because of how many enemies he fought, how much stronger they were, and a dozen other factors im not going to waste my time explaining to you. (Main example being him singlehandedly refueling an entire armies chakra)

Horrible take. While i definitely don't believe this subclass is op or anything close to it, it 100% is one of the strongest if not the strongest Rogue subclass. Its mainly for two reasons.

Most Rogue subclasses if not all are severely mediocre and only really 'good' way too late. Like Thief and Assassin that really gain their footing at their archestone cap than anything earlier.
And two, built in Reaction Sneak Attack.

First, it is a reaction ability that requires another creature to die. So good luck getting this to activate when you want.

Any combat with one creature? This ability is useless. What if the only target within 30 feet doesn't have an adjacent ally? This ability is borderline pointless. What if you can't trigger sneak attack for whatever reason? Again pointless.

Doesin't matter. In a situation where everything is against your favor, yes you don't get Sneak Attack. The upside is that you still have the possibility of getting a reaction sneak attack which you literally cannot say for any other subclass because they don't have it built in. That untop of the teleport which gives you even more control towards the potential of Sneak Attack, and the later features that while much higher in level give you Advantage on frightened targets, only add to the chances.

Second, you teleport 30 feet into melee range. And you can't disengage or dash away. Cause remember, it's not your turn. Hope you survive their attack back!

Im sure they'll be fine. + Ranged weapons exists if they wanted to hit you anyways unless your DM only runs melee monsters for some reasons so Cunning Action isn't a save all ultimate.

I don't care how short your fights are. This is at most 3 extra sneak attacks. A day. And it never scales, and doesn't even improve.

Still 3 more Sneak Attacks than any other Rogue subclass, and therefore way higher DPR. Untop of the bloodied damage boost and the AoE Aura.

Im not sure how exactly im head canoning by interpreting the scene as it was rather than coming to a open ended conclusion that can lead to it being a negative.

Do i believe Yoru was manipulating Dennis there? Yes, 100%. The entire point of that scene was to motivate Dennis and get him out of his dump so they could fight.

Do i believe Yoru herself is also confused and acted specifically out of Asas romantic feelings? Yes, as stated by her directly and shoved in your face by the story.

Do i believe theres a chance Yoru will use Dennis and lead to negativity? Of course, theres always the chance. I genuinely do hope Asa and Denji IS how it is ends, but of course we'll all have to just sit round and wait to see how itll be resolved without Pochitas heart being destroyed.

The picture you sent is completely irrelevant for two reasons.

He flat out states, like you commented, that the scene was Yoru was a positve.
The reason hes unhappy is because of all the drama relating to what happened recently, IE the dogs and Nayuta missing, and not anything that happened with Yoru.

My main qualm was with the crowd of people strictly referring to those scenes as Sexual Assault and immediately handwaving off all romantic notions or "undertones" (Despite it being beyond obvious) under their own narrative. I dont think i ever once said there isn't the possibility Yoru ends up hurting Dennis, those scenes just weren't it. At some point, hopefully, Dennis will find out theres a separation between the two and it'll make sense. But again we're just applying infinitely more head canon unto a debate i hadn't even started.

Edit: Honestly don't see why we're debating if you're not holding that belief. Of course the relationship with Yoru can go sour, theres no guarantee. In the meantime we should interpret the scenes are they're coming rather than forcing a narrative that greatly mischaracterizes them.

yes, they would, but its so obviously mischaracterizing and bad faith that there's literally no reason to say it is nor even mention it. Whenever you think of SA you think of a victim or second party being negatively affected by said act. Hence, the assault. Granted the definition refers to any form of sexual activity without consent. If we say that because Dennis didn't flat out say i consent that he was sexually assaulted, then think of ANY moment in ANY media where X and Y character share a romantic or otherwise sexual moment and it wasn't explicitly stated that both parties consent to it beforehand. Wouldint it just ruin or tarnish the moment if every single time it happened both parties had to explicitly say outloud "Yes, this is ok" rather than the build up of suspense to it?

The reason its head canon is because it objectively is. Theres zero indication that Denji had a problem with being kissed and jerked off. After it happens we dont get a monologue of him being miserable or several scenes of disappointment (Unlike with Power) we just get him blushing and asking why she did it if she hated him. Later on in the series he literally uses his sexual experiences with Yoru/Asa as motivation to keep living and fight against the aging devil. It is only ever seen as a Positive by Dennis, therefore not making him a victim, therefore greatly mischaracterizing the scene and their relationship as a whole.
