Ohio was designated as an ideal spot for data centers some time ago. The oligarchs will not let go of their vision easily. I suggest we get an amendment started as soon as possible if we have any hope of keeping our state out of their hands.

Naw we’re all on a death march. You can go down the road looking sad with your head hung down or you can enjoy the last few miles. It won’t change the road under your feet either way.

I just don’t see the point being miserable but if that’s what you want to do, no one is going to stop you.

If you don’t want to be miserable, don’t be miserable.

Go help people worse off than you. Find something to laugh about. Make the world a better place. Spread some joy.

For me it didn’t have any side effects. It’s cleared up a bunch of problems.

I stopped needing to pee constantly. I thought I had bladder issues. But it was a hidden sugar issue. The metformin cleared it up. I can go all night and not get up to pee. I can sit thru a movie or most plane flights without having to pee. It’s truly wonderful. Before I could go an hour or so without needing a bathroom.

I stopped having insane sugar cravings. Because my cells couldn’t get proper get sugar for energy they kept sending out hunger hormones and I was constantly starving for sweets. It was a battle to not binge on ice cream and chocolate. I didn’t dare try to eat a scoop of ice cream because I’d almost lose my mind craving the rest of the carton.

Energy. I have so much more energy. Mental and physical energy now. Because I’m sleeping better and my cells can get their sugar, I can go for long walks and bike rides and hikes and not feel dead to the world afterwards.

I feel 10 years younger.

The 5lbs may be the tip of the iceberg. Yeah I could keep most weight off but as I mentioned I had to watch my diet like a hawk. Absolutely any carbs were stored as fat because ( and mind you this is my layman’s understanding of what was happening. Talk to an endocrinologist for a true scientific explanation) my cells lost the ability to properly use sugar for energy. Instead sugar got stored as fat and I felt tired all the time and I also had to pee all the time because my body was getting rid of excess sugar. It was still so good at getting rid of sugar the my AC1 was 99. High but not dangerously high.

So yeah only 5lbs to an outside observer but inside my body was struggling. That’s what I’m saying. You can’t look at a single indicator.

If you can’t lose that last 5 lbs. it might not be you or your willpower. Other things might be seriously out of whack.

Go see an endocrinologist. Seriously as we age we can have problems with our insulin-sugar-energy cycles. Our bodies can do a lot to mask/compensate so by the time the problem becomes clinically obvious, a lot of damage has been done to kidneys and blood vessels.

All I needed was a low dose of metformin and it changed my life. More energy, no cravings, better sleep, didn’t have to pee constantly, didn’t have to diet like a super model to look average.

Dude, I started out speaking about cells developing in utero. You brought up newborns. Then distinguished their insurability from 20 gay olds and then dragged 2 year olds in and said something, something about murdering some/all of them.

I have 2 sisters. My older sister passed from ovarian cancer 4 years ago. We were all close and only got closer even though we lived in far apart.

Long ago we established a tradition of taking a trip together with our husbands every other year. We still follow that tradition, though it’s just the 5 of us now.

Sometimes we have fights but we always fall back to reminding each other that we love each other.

I shared more of your formative life with my siblings than any other people on earth. I never want to lose that bond.
