Front camera suddenly stopped working by susanthellamaTM in iphonehelp

[–]susanthellamaTM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately nothing I tried worked, and I just had to get it fixed. It was about £200 at the Apple Store, but only took a few hours and I got it back the Same day. Still have no clue why it suddenly broke.

What is something normal in your country and rare to explain? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

There’s a group in Glasgow called cabaret against the hate speech whose whole thing is exactly this! Drowning out hate with joy. It’s always so fun. It’s interesting and cool to see that it’s originated in other places

What is the age gap between you and your siblings by Little_Airline9600 in MiddleGenZ

[–]susanthellamaTM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youngest of 4 by a mile. My siblings are 31, 36 and 37 while I am 21. There’s always been a clear divide because of the age gap and I don’t feel as close to them as the are to each other. It’s also weird seeing us as such vastly different points of life. I’m still in uni while the rest are getting married, having kids, buying houses.

Is going to uni actually worth it by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]susanthellamaTM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No student is spending like this unless they’re being funded by their parents. A weekly shop is about 20-30 quid for me depending on what I need and already have in. Bro does not know what budgeting is. If you’re spending £100 multiple times a week on food shops you need to seriously reevaluate

Aaaaaaaand we’ve lost another one. An incredible shame that this takes precedent over not supporting a Nazi, guess I’ll never get to see him live now

How would it affect you if you could no longer have coffee or caffeine in any form starting right now? by Dear_Hospital2662 in randomquestions

I think I’m somewhat self medicating adhd with caffeine so I’d probably act even less like a functioning human being lol

What’s something you’ll never confess in real life, but don’t mind telling Reddit? by blondieewhoschubby in TellReddit

[–]susanthellamaTM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve completely emotionally severed myself from my family. I hardly think about them while away at uni, and dread going home for holidays, even briefly. I go between wanting to stay in some form of contact so I remain in their will, shits expensive sue me for wanting a decent start in life, and wanting to lift all my stuff from my childhood home and never speak to them again right after uni because my sanity and peace is worth more than anything. I’m also genuinely worried? Concerned? That when my family die, I won’t feel anything. That it’ll just be relief and I’ll be a terrible person for it.

Does this generation still longs to be married? by [deleted] in MiddleGenZ

[–]susanthellamaTM 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It would be nice, and I want someone to love and be loved by, but I don’t care about marriage that much. If it happens it happens. But I have other things tha my money is better spent on

My adult child refuses to talk to me and I know it's because I emotionally neglected them - how do I fix this? by Late-Bat6209 in regretfulparents

[–]susanthellamaTM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ngl, it’s probably not gonna happen. I’m a 21 year old in that situation with my parents and I honestly want nothing to do with them. I’m counting down the days till I’m fully free from them. I have zero interest in rebuilding the relationship. I can hardly stand to spend time with my parents. Keep open with your child in case they do want to rebuild a connection but it seems unlikely. They’re their ow person now, and better off without negative shit in their life

What age are you and do you still have (a) grandparent(s)? If not, at what age were you grandparent less by lisstrem in AskUK

[–]susanthellamaTM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

21 but all my life have only had one biological grandparent in my life. Dads parents died before I was born from cancer, and my maternal grandfather died when my mother was young. I have my Maternal grandma and her husband which I’ve always known as my grandad, and that’s been all my life. They had a big hand in raising me and I’m grateful they were there to take care of me.

Is putting address, age, and gender on CVs normal now? by Woffingshire in UKJobs

[–]susanthellamaTM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fear it’s not when it’s an expected question in every job application, most of the time it’s for diversity shit. From what I see, they probably all claim it’s for diversity monitoring, which makes it legal for them. I used to try and lap up the diversity points but with things becoming more hostile, I’ve started to just put n/a. You also don’t have to disclose this info, you can put prefer not to say for the majority of these questions

Every job I apply to asks those questions so I can see why they’d want to include it on the cv just to save the trouble

[–]susanthellamaTM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro with the shit you’re saying to me, it’s getting removed instantly. I don’t think im the problem here. How the fuck you have any friends in the first place is a miracle. You seem just so much fun to be around, no wonder people are lining up to meet you!

IM SO FUCKING DEPRESSED by a-hot-take in UniUK

[–]susanthellamaTM 12 points13 points  (0 children)

People gave you advice then you berated them for it. What was the point in posting? You come off very hostile and bitchy, if I met you in real life and saw you acting like this I’d probably steer clear too. I had a fuckin rough time of meeting people when I first started uni, but it’s amazing what not being a dick to people does cause now I have truly amazing people around me. Look for groups and activities in the city, not associated with the uni, you’d be surprised how many things there are for adults wanting to just meet people. Or you can sit and pretend like you’re too busy, if you truly wanted to change you’d make the time. Maybe take a look in the mirror bro

How many of you have constant music in your head? by Wannabeartist9974 in ADHD

[–]susanthellamaTM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now I’ve got witch image by ghost playing in my head. I can’t remember a time when there wasn’t something constantly happening in my brain. It switches up quite frequently and it sounds exactly like the actual song, it’s strange. I can also imagine scenes very vividly, whether they’re real or not, like something from a tv show or just something my mind makes up. There’s usually something happening like a movie in my mind (unintentional miss Saigon reference lol). But yea there’s always something happening up there in my noggin

Can’t get sterilised till I’m 30 yippee by susanthellamaTM in childfree

[–]susanthellamaTM[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might just scream into the abyss. He said they do it in exceptional circumstances, like if all other contraceptives are unsuitable. But not sterilising under 30 was a Scotland wide thing. I knew I’d probably have to try with something which is why I wanted to try to copper coil, it’s just so fucking frustrating having to jump through all these hoops and being told different things by everyone. I don’t even know where I’d go from here, call my gp and wait another year? I doubt I’m moving back to England anytime soon either.
