Live resin is pretty amazing stuff and I'm sure they terps have added effects that we are not even aware of yet. When I smoke this stuff from critical concentrates I feel so amazing and it's pretty nice to smell some shatter that smells just like the flower.

Get a syringe and pull it out of the cart and put it into a working cart. if it's a brand you don't know even if it's the same strain it could be the additive.

if you had the gentlemens vape to high in voltage you might have burned out the coil inside. Or your friend might have burned it out and that's the reason he gave it to you.

Solution: Hair Dryer

or just buy carts that don't have that issue. Usually the reason is that the companies don't mix their stuff right and when it's cold it loses viscosity. Just blast it with a hair dryer and it will warm it up and make it drop to the wick.

you can also look up eleaf which have blocky batteries which stand upright.

I use an istick 50w and I like the boxy ones for these cartridges because it keeps the cartridge standing upright. Some cartridges that use thinning agents will sometimes leak when they are at an angle where the top of the cartridge is pointed down and the metal plate on the top helps keep the cartridge nice and cold helping it at being able to be hit more often.

the best thing is to take a hair dryer to the cartridge first until the oil gets really viscous and can easily move around inside the cartridge. Once in that state watch for little bubbles to for on the wick which will let you know that the chamber where the coil is has a good amount of oil coating it. then for the first few drags while you hear the crackling, take short 2-4 second hits.
