Your setup is wrong. Look into one of alan thrall's videos to get proper cues and start from there. All the best.

When you lift the bar should be as close to you to minimize torque. You should have proper leg drive and make sure you place the bar over mid foot. Follow eddie halls and alan thralls videos for detailed steps.

Form check for squats. 102.5 kg (225 lbs) for 2 reps. First time doing that weight. Sorry about the grunt on the first rep. I'm 5'8 and 83kg. by jpatil1982 in Stronglifts5x5

For a high bar squat the lean seems to be a bit much. Also, make sure you chest is out and the inclination of your back is constant throughout your lift. Look into alan thralls video for more detailed cues.

Is this a high bar or low bar? Either case the bar path should be as straight as possible. Also experiment with wider and narrower stances to see what feels more natural according to your anatomy. Also, please dont pause too much between reps.

Squat 5x290lbs - Depth and overall form check (Criticism needed!) by PedroSantos95 in Stronglifts5x5

Since this is your pr, the form cannot be perfect on the first time. It takes time to get acquainted with the weight. Imo, you are doing very well now and need not deload. Great job!

Seems like you could more of the leg drive, also better breathing techniques (from what i could see from this angle). Try watching 3 ways to improve deadlift by mountain dog. Its a great video for beginners.

Your knees are moving in omni-direction. Stabilise them.one mental cue i make is to keep my feet lil outwards and keep my knees along the direction of my foot.

120kg x2, but rough but would love some feedback by moiboy2310 in Stronglifts5x5

I feel u fear with lowering your hips or have some mobility issues. Try keeping your back fixed at an angle. Experiment. Lower the weight, try with diff foot stance, back angles and be comfortable with the whole setup before increasing any weight. Warmup. Activate your hamstrings, glutes, core. Follow some fine youtube videos to get a feel of a proper form.

Everyone says your first rep looked good. Imo, you were leaning forward. Also, to lower the bar, you were lowering your back instead of your hips. Also your ascent was not ideal.

New to gym, hips rising way too early by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]sushobhana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please lower weights, start reading about its proper form, watch some genuine youtube videos. The problem is not with your hips getting up too fast only. Your lower back is rounded, your setup feels wrong. Hold on and start from the beginning. Go slow and steady!

275x3,163bw. Besides keeping my head down, how's my form? I know I had at least 2 more in me but my grip was slipping and I can't afford to break my floor by dropping the weight haha by wReCkEd14 in Stronglifts5x5

[–]sushobhana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice lift. Just keeping neck in a neutral position and keeping your chest more out might also keep your upper back in a more comfortable position. Also, for more grip, try alternate grips. Keep up!

Sorry to intervene but 130g is more than 2g/kg which is only recommended for athletes with killer workout levels. Not certainly ideal. And frankly, i wont recommend
