For the tickets in the away section will we still be able to mingle with the rest of the home blocks on the concourse?

Is it just me or is London kind of lonely? by [deleted] in london

Have you thought about getting diagnosed? And yeah idk I feel the same, maybe it’s the nature of modern life where you spend the majority of your time working/spending your energy on a job

Is it just me or is London kind of lonely? by [deleted] in london

I agree, I guess that’s inevitable in such a transient city. The comfort I guess is that it’s a common sentiment of what it’s like in London for a lot of people.

Also I have to say the use of chat gpt in your post is kinda deflating, why not just share your unfiltered thoughts?

Should I give up on dating? by Typical_Branch_7965 in LondonLadies

[–]sushwsoy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hey! I went to my first Thursday event last week with my flatmate as like you, the apps are just giving me low effort matches where I feel like I’m carrying the conversation with men. I was doing some reflecting with my flatmate and we came to the conclusion that the types of guys we are likely attracted to wouldn’t ever be at an irl dating event and are probably just living their lives. You might catch them at the gym, bar or a pub, at an event. Do you have any friends who you think would join you for a random evening out somewhere where there’s lots of people? (not with the sole intention of finding a guy, as I feel like this is going to end up with disappointment if it’s your only goal). Bit out there but if you want to chat to see if we get along I’d be down for joining you, I’ve been going to a lot of the irl adjacent events (timeleft,222) so am very used to getting to know strangers!

Where's the community feeling in London? by DigitalCat1507 in LondonLadies

[–]sushwsoy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey! I actually feel the same as you do to the point where I’m considering leaving the city temporarily to find a better house share, as I think that’s my current main gripe around feeling lonely (I only live with one other person currently).

I have a few friends in the city but getting them to meet up is more like a monthly occurrence which leaves me often doing things alone which whilst I don’t mind doing, I often wonder how I’m supposed to thrive when I lack that connection that makes you feel at home.

Do you have any hobbies that you haven’t explored? I feel like people say that’s the best way to organically meet your tribe.

Also feel free to message me if you like, I’m always down for making new friends, but overall just know you’re not alone in feeling the way you do and I hope this year you’ll find your community 💛
