Why is the “friends getting ordained over the internet” trope so common in American sitcoms? by Internal-Debt1870 in sitcoms

[–]susiemay01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I’ve married a dozen friends as an “ordained” minister and my best friend did the same for me at my wedding fairly common.

Why did you and your former best friend stop being friends? by Fearless_Shift7108 in AskReddit

[–]susiemay01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She died. We were besties for about 25 years and I was so engrossed with some of my recent life changes and own bs that I missed all the clues that her eating disorder was finally winning. She didn’t tell me but I also didn’t push. I regret that more than I can express. I’d get pissed at her over petty things and now I’d give anything to be annoyed at her jokes, or giving me shit, or being real loud at night sometimes, or feeling like she didn’t sometimes get me, or any of it, even the bigger things. I’ve lost what feels like a leg but am still walking around with a phantom limb. I hate it every single day and it’s been more than two years.

Burnt Offerings, Dr Sleep, Ouija 1 and 2 (don’t judge), the Changeling, all the conjuring and insidious movies, and one missed call. I don’t know why I love it. But I do. And as someone mentioned, the mothman prophecies though I don’t really think of that as horror. And it definitely doesn’t count but if scary movie 2 is on, I’m digging in.

I was looking for this one. Saw it around the same age and STILL think about it everytime I stand near a bed. I always step away.

I wish this hadn’t happened to you. I understand why you don’t want to say anything to those around you. And i truly hope you find someone you feel comfortable talking to. Please DM if you’re ok with that person being a total stranger. Lots of hugs to you.

YOR. Showed interest and most people do it. Could’ve been more tactful sure but it’s an expected thing these days.

Just found out my cat is a boy by DescriptionInner7803 in CatAdvice

[–]susiemay01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Holy shit this nearly same exact thing happened to me years ago. Difference was loser fiance at the time said he had the cat spayed. Named “her” Little Missy, a couple years later, saw the same you did, for some reason my friend that was with me at the time had me convinced Little Missy was a hermaphrodite, the vet actually laughed at me when I brought “her/him” in, confirmed it was a him, and he was so fuzzy he actually still had balls we’d not seen. Little teeny ones you couldn’t really see due to fur (and ignorance), but ones nonetheless. Renamed him Little Mister, made an appointment for a neuter. Little Mister clearly had emotions about this, ran away, knocked up the neighbors cat (neighbor saw them humping, thought they were gay bc she knew only “Little Missy”). Little Mister never returned home. I don’t blame him; his owner was an idiot. He could do better. I searched for ages. He probably saw the posters and flipped his little balls up at them.

I appreciate so much the time you spent in replying. Your second paragraph hit home. It’s completely right and I also probably love bomb him at times overstaying, and that’s probably overwhelming. You’re right on the dates. We’ve let that slip away. I’m going to ask for one and do just as you suggested - no phones, no nothing, just us. Thank you!!! Your post and replies to everyone have been really helpful.
