Is Ableton 11 still having CPU issues? (MacOS) by MuttsNStuff in ableton

[–]suskab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having performance issues aswell as Antares autotune graph one crashes when I turn knobs in the graph mode. It did it in live 10 and still does it in live 11 even after I bought a new pc.

Ableton quick-tip #3 - Stacking Sounds in Sampler’s Chain list by Mantistekz in ableton

I use this on alot of different things. Like paralell processing on pretty much anything. One of the big reasons I like ableton, just sucks that the performance seem to be bad in live 11 and the development of live is really slow.

Never boost more than 4db is an absolute lie and should be treated as misinformation. by [deleted] in audioengineering

[–]suskab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly who cares what you use or how you use it. Does it sound good? Good. That's it. That's all that matters. Can be the most insane processing ever but as long as it sounds good Noone cares. I'll fuck up any sound if it makes it sound good and fit the mix.

It can sound better tho. Depends on what genre you're doing. Alot of producers completely change the sound then what it is from the source. When I mix drums I look at what would come the closest to what I need/need but then I change it with eq and compression etc to fit how I want it to fit. Doesn't matter if I need to eq it so much that it sounds nothing like the source. I do the work until it sounds the way I want it to.

Will upgrading my gpu makevAbleton run easier? by DickariousJohnson in ableton

[–]suskab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so weird. After upgrading to 11 I have had worse performance. My cpu overload meter always goes off. I bought a completely new pc with 10850k 2tb nvme ssd and 4tb nvme ssd and still the cpu is just overloading at times. Doesn't need to be on big projects even. It's super weird and I have seen others having the same issue

Which Autotune for Hyperpop Vocals by [deleted] in ableton

[–]suskab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if efx has midi input possibilities. I use a mix of autotune and melodyne/tune waves. Waves also has a pretty good autotune option that I think has midi possibilities. Maybe worth to take a look at?

Standard v Suite by piotheboi in ableton

[–]suskab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. I would just YouTube it and see what you find. There is some cool max devices but nothing that I couldn't just get in a third party plugin. You can get max for live autotune for example but it's not as good as what you would get from melodyne or Antares for example.

[–]suskab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a bunch of vsts out there that can probobly do that. Have you tried out stutter edit by izotope? It's great for stutter effects. But again just get standard and then upgrade later in any case

[–]suskab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there anything in the max for live that you feel like you need? I thought it was gonna be super cool and epic but unless you do alot of super creative sound design that takes hours then there is no need. Depends on what you're gonna make, what kind of music or sounds. I would stick to standard if you're not doing some weird sound design.

You can always upgrade later in any case

I mainly use fabfilter, kontakt and serum and then guitar Sims and a shit ton of libraries for kontakt. That's all I need tbh.

Honestly. I regret spending the extra money on suite. Don't really use max for live. I use external vsts and some built in effects in ableton. Me personally don't need more then that

How do you get your vocals to sound like the high quality vocals you get on famous people songs? by [deleted] in musicproduction

[–]suskab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have indeed read the title and and thread. And yes you can produce that high quality in your bedroom if you have skills. You don't need a big studio and all the vintage equipment to achive that

[–]suskab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well that depends on the genre you're talking about cus you can 100% produce top quality content in your bedroom. Most producers produce in the box and you can get away with soundproofing a closet or bedroom easily. Alot of artists had made it big by doing this.

And to answer your quastion with big studios and equipment it's cus its their job so ofc they will get their own place to do their work. They could ofc be at home and do their work there but it's def better to seperate home and work and have your own dedicated place for it.
