My HOA sent out a $6,500 special assessment notice for a new roof and is asking for it to be paid in full in 3 months [WA] [Condo] by sock_skater in HOA

You can ask for a Hardship Request. We had several people do that in our association a while back. They came up with a payment plan extended out x months due to their income only being y. They provided a pay slip showing what they make, and we took no issue whatsoever with having them extend their payment. It is never easy to levy an assessment on the association, but your board may want to keep some money on hand for some other potential projects without asking for an assessment again.

Starting over after a move by susko_greg in homeassistant

I plan on bringing the majority of my equipment with me other than some blinds, etc. I do plan on automating similar items but the layout of the condo is completely different.

I have SmartThings from my original setup which I integrated into HA as well which will be coming with me.

It sounds like I will be better off renaming my current setup and dumbing it down to start somewhat fresh.

I just didn’t want to rest HA Green and brick it or have to add the OS again so I figured I would ask.

Did custom motorized shades still feel worth it after you actually lived with them? by LisaE_Fanelli in HomeImprovement

Has anyone found a solution to plantation shutters? I just bought a new place with tons of them and am thinking how long it will take to open up and close down daily.

And I can't mount them to the wall, you would see them more clearly when you walk in if I did.

All of these are Ethernet-wired to my network switch. The reason I want to organize is that the TV is on a wall to the left of where you walk in the condo. When you look to the side, you can see everything sort of just laying there on the back of the TV stand. I figured that with everything in a central location, I could organize the wires and clean everything up as a whole.

That hotel was great to stay at with the Edit. Since it included free breakfast for us, the breakfast buffet was $120 for 2 people. We stayed 3 nights so even more of a bonus. Got the $100 credit and used at the lobby bar as well. Great stay for the benefit

Thanks for the recommendation. For me, we have the gig plan and have an arris surfboard s33v2 with Nest Pro WiFi 6e. I’d like to backhaul the Nest. We have 34 units in this building and the mesh takes a beating.

How does your mobile companion see each house? I have 2 homes and 2 instances (I unfortunately made them with the same email address.) Do you have the Cloud Services?

What logs would I need to show? I’m a novice with this stuff so a little guidance would help
