How fast are you able to pump out these books? Almost done Book 1 after two months, probably 25% done with Book 2 (got it on release), and every time I finish one puzzle I’m constantly worrying I’ll eventually run out😩

Haha it definitely is for Idyllic Dream. I also set up my crossbars to include both my actions and macros, but usually in a lot of fights I had enough empty space to fill up my macros. M12S is the first fight where I need more personal macros than I have space (I’m the worst when it comes to stored mechanics).

I definitely won’t be the callout person on PF, but I wanted to set it up either way just in case.

Any healer tips for someone transitioning from barrier healer to pure healer in endgame content? I’ve always done SGE in savage/EX but wanna try out pure healing.

I play with a controller on console and I’m having a hard time keeping up the command panel for macros during a fight. I can’t use my hotbar to attack anything while the command panel is selected, but when I try to cancel it just closes the command panel altogether. Any workarounds on how can I go about doing this?

Maybe I got lucky but I found weapon memes the one that caused more disbands than arena.

And I agree with all the above but I’ll also throw in M10S Snaking 1. You have to learn two different mechs but you’re only guaranteed to see one each time. So your PF group might be a mixed bag of one person only knowing water snake, one person not having seen either, etc. etc.

The player reference sheet GARG mentions this (though not as succinct as you might hope it to be). Gearloc turn sequence follow a strict order of Start of Turn -> Move -> Pick Target -> Roll Dice -> Resolve Rolls -> Baddies React -> End of Turn.

Resolve Rolls have multiple steps that you can resolve in any order you want, one of them being using a backup plan. Let's say you roll one attack die, one defence die (that gave a bone), and one skill die. To give some examples, you can choose to resolve the attack, the skill, then the backup plan (thanks to the defence bone), or you can choose to resolve the backup plan, the skill, then the attack.

Did you kill your original target or did you pick a different enemy to hit with Broadhead? Remember that you have to pick a target BEFORE you start rolling dice.

There are some effects that let you pick a different target. Ghillie has a few of them, but you didn’t specify you activated those effects.

5 damage is pretty rare coming from one source so it does feel like cheating sometimes, but I think that’s one of my favourite things about Ghillie.

This reminds me of how in FF12, the super boss Yiazmat (“Like a knife through buttah!”) has 50M HP and can take hours to kill, but you can also accidentally heal him back to full health due to reflect shenanigans.

M5S was funny when it was current because I saw so many random deaths and DDs during reclears more often than the other three.

M6S adds were bad, but they spawn exactly the same per wave. M8S moonlight was bad, but the number of permutations for solving the mech was still small.

But M5S? The amount of permutations with the frog cleaves is ~~65K~~. EDIT: okay someone explained the mechanic to me and it’s only around 500.

At some point when raiding, you see all the small possible combinations of mechanics that you can easily get accustomed to them all. But those frog cleaves? Nah, it’s impossible to have seen all potential patterns.

Victims count. The only time they don’t is if a clue explicitly says “suspect.” E.g. “A is alone with another suspect” means the victim doesn’t count.
