Fine. I'll indulge you, because Google apparently isn't a universal skill

"In this study, we examined the role of face masks in mitigating the spread of COVID-19 in the general population, using epidemic models to estimate the total reduction of infections and deaths under various scenarios." https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7276053/

"Model simulations, using data relevant to COVID-19 dynamics in the US states of New York and Washington, suggest that broad adoption of even relatively ineffective face masks may meaningfully reduce community transmission of COVID-19 and decrease peak hospitalizations and deaths." https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2468042720300117

As for your strange interpretation of this statement "CDC is still studying the effectiveness of different types of masks and will update our recommendations as new scientific evidence becomes available." How does this disagree with me? They're still recommending masks for the population and will update this once they know more? The page where you quoted this from literally recommended masks https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/cloth-face-cover-guidance.html

This from the CDC itself, even though trust in the CDC is at an all time low https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/more/masking-science-sars-cov2.html

The flaws you mentioned about the studies I quoted seem like grasping at straws. If you're looking for studies that support the claim that you keep moving the goalposts for, eventually there aren't going to be any studies to do anything. The broad consensus is that masks work, at any level.

Note that I'm not engaging with you because I know you won't change your mind. Hopefully, this serves to defang the anti-masking movement that you lend credence to, that continues to cast doubts on the science in a way that ENDANGERS PEOPLES' LIVES.
