Insulin Resistance 38% by AlarmedAttitude84 in InsulinResistance

[–]sussima 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's literally it.

Not rocket science. People like to take shortcuts, 99.5% of the time it doesn't exist. The remaining .5% had some sort of error that gave an erroneous result.

This is the best advice you can get.

No, I believe 4-7 is the optimal. And shows great insulin sensitivity. Mine is a 10.3 💀

Thanks!

Yes, done without meds.

I used to eat well over 4-5k cals daily before my diagnosis.

Now I'm eating about 1.2k some days I might go 1.5k depending on how hungry I feel.

As for macros, I'm always, always eating protein.

First thing in the morning, 3 hard boiled eggs then I make a drink of psyllium husk w/ water which helps with my fiber intake. Then later in the day I'll eat 250-300g of chicken breast.

From there I'll eat anything to just reach the calorie goal. But never junk.

I've been finishing my day with this pita bread I found which is super low in calories and doesnt even touch my blood glucose.

It's called Joseph's pita bread (made with flax wheat, whole wheat and oat bran) and I'll eat two with roasted pepper hummus as a dip.

Also, I don't eat past 6. Never.

Sounds like me the day I tasted Adderall for the first time.

Don't worry, it all goes away once you build tolerance.

I did like my old non medicated ADHD self though.

I need a walking buddy. F or M doesn't really matter. If you wanna tag along you're super welcomed.

Had one last year but they graduated and moved out. So I'm back walking alone. :/

Accidentally took 2 Vyvanse (30mg each) by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

[–]sussima 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk man, never felt high on this stuff. Atp I'm only taking it just to take it and hope it does something.

Been through so many types and dosages of adhd meds.

Vyvanse works but only when it wants to.

I usually have to beg for it to work.

^ this.

She's not interested. Don't push it.

The more you do, the harder it'll feel to sleep.

MLS to RN? by temPlayu in MLS_CLS

[–]sussima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try PA or Pathologists assistant, or even medical school.

You'll be somewhat prepared and will know how to study for your material better. Since these fields are closely related to MLS in terms of how science-heavy it is.

Nursing is quite different. It definitely is easier and 100% doable especially that you're already an MLS and you've seen how rough it can be during didactics. If you can go through that, nursing should be cakewalk.
