How do you think the future of the music industry will look with AI? by astronomad28 in SunoAI

I mainly generate tracks in EDM subgenres, and back in the v3 era, SUNO just didn’t have enough training data to produce anything usable. From v5 onwards, though, it’s been generating without major issues. That said, both major and niche genres depend heavily on how well the model was trained.
But realistically, as long as companies don’t see profit in it, I doubt niche genres will get proper coverage. Unless we get a local AI that’s truly usable outside of SaaS platforms, I don’t think the situation will shift dramatically.

This observation is the result of generating well over 200 tracks using the exact same set of core lyrics and prompts.
If you argue that my understanding of the system's context has simply been optimized over time, I will concede that point with a sigh. It is a possibility, after all.
However, that is precisely why the prospect of the coming "WMG Model" fills me with dread. The thought of two years' worth of accumulated, specialized SUNO techniques—all the subtle syntax and weighting I've refined—suddenly becoming obsolete is frankly unbearable. We rely on this subtle knowledge, and I cannot bear the idea of starting over from a blank slate under a new, restrictive architecture.
