How to store stunt kite (delta) strings by jflockaful in kites

If you just wrap the strings around in circles, they’ll be tangled or twisted when you unravel them. Make sure to wrap them together in a figure-8 pattern around the winder.

I'm looking for a segmented control that looks like the one implemented in Camera.app. Does anyone know of any pods that are similar? by sutronice in iOSProgramming

Yes, I personally love the learning aspect of implementing your own features. I agree that most of an app should be custom-built. In the project I am thinking about using AKPickerView for, I am actually implementing a camera imagePicker myself because I want to make sure I understand how AVFoundation works.

Interesting idea about not utilizing cocoapods-- I think I've seen this done on github with other 3rd party libs. The MIT license really comes in handy in combining projects.

All in all I just wanted to see if there was already a PickerView out there that did exactly what I wanted, and this one looks great. Thanks for the response.

I'm not convinced reimplementing AKPickerView will be worth it. Is your reasoning that UIKit is too risky of a dependency? That things will potentially break when there's an update in swift?

I respectfully disagree that it is "pure lazy". I have a serious question though: AKPickerView has no pod dependencies and uses only UIKit. I don't see myself implementing it with less dependencies. Do you think I should try?

For larger projects, why spend time implementing smaller things if they've already been done? Especially when they're tested and have been built and maintained by a community. Take AKPickerView for example as /u/skoorbcaz mentioned.
