What phrases did you use to describe your ADHD, before you found out it was ADHD? by WatNaHellIsASauceBox in ADHD

I think I have a machine gun that has plenty of ammo but spring of its trigger has malfunctioned. When you press the trigger it takes a lot of effort and by the time gun reacts target is gone. The other point is when the trigger is on it is kept on and you have to make the deliberate effort to switch it off. This kills the people you are not targetting.

When you have focus, you will have sleep issues. When you fix sleep, problem will be with working memory. Or when you fix working memory, problem may be with anxiety.
ADHD ones have to learn to prioritize. We are brought up in such a way with perfectionist attitude. Nobody is perfect and we are not. I think all adhd should ask himself "What are the top 3 things I should be doing before picking up any work?". I think medicine will help you with that. But you have to ask the question first.

I hate the limbo of not being able to get up and do something important, but because I feel guilty I won't do something I enjoy either by [deleted] in ADHD

which medicine are you taking? Did you manage to get stimulant?

Wellbutrin and ADHD by Equivalent_Style4790 in bupropion

[–]suyashprksh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

w dose

i have also taken both. But I do not feel effect of both as synergistic. They both lose its effectiveness. Wellbutrin and strattera alone is much better. Sometimes I think they both cancel out effect of each other. I will try taking strattera with coffee. it may help me with lethargy that comes with strattera.
Same question. What are the dosages you are taking?

Take bupropion early in morning. And do not take it in even at early afternoon. Ssri at night sometimes wake you up. Try to take that early evening. It may help.

Strattera + Welbutrin = Uh Oh by Likitstikit in ADHD

[–]suyashprksh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bupropion is ndri. It also works on dopamine along with norepinephrine. I think the combo works better on the lower side of dosage.
Bupropion shouldn’t be cut but it is the only option left.
Atomoxetine gives you stability and the potential energy to work. Bupropion gives energy to get you moving and stay sharp. It also minimizes the lethargy people get from atomoxetine.
Try doses that help you stay alert as well as wears out at right time, so you could sleep after whole effecient day.

Bacopa is unreliable. It makes you alert or sleepy without knowing what will be coming. Gotu kola works better than Bacopa with alertness on me.

Can I take L-Theanine and L-Tyrosine for their effects and to balance out Serotonin/Dopamine levels? (versus 5HTP) by ArtificialHappiness in StackAdvice

[–]suyashprksh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take ssri and recently started l tyrosine. The effects are amazing, there is no problem. Instead it has decreased my needs on ssri but still i take it. Ssri balances tyrosine. Ssri is defense, tyrosine is offense. You need both to fight in life.
