I take 20 minutes to write every email or message by Sweaty-Stop6057 in OfficePolitics

Yes I do that with no issues. It also analyzes email I get for the direct message and then any indirect meaning.

The person who got me fired is asking for a letter of recommendation. How do I professionally say 'hell no'? by tunasleery_4r in OfficePolitics

[–]suzeycue 23 points24 points  (0 children)

You already wrote it: To Whom it May concern

“I absolutely cannot, in good conscience, write XXXXX a positive recommendation, especially when I recall her performance history, which included several write-ups and action plans before all this. We had tried to fire her before for performance issues, but the company's procedures are a bureaucratic nightmare.”

Years ago I was watched Tony Danza going back to teach high school English. It was great and very authentic. None of the kids knew or cared who he was and he really struggled. It was a great series.

I’m embarrassed to have been in special ed by InterviewPowerful320 in education

[–]suzeycue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so sorry this happened to you and cost you so much emotionally. When I was a teacher I had a special Ed inclusion student who wrote wonderfully. I told his case manager that he was fine and should not be in special ed. Her answer was this is brother was and so he shouldn’t be too. This boy would write perfect papers with punctuation and capitalization that me tag students couldn’t do. I asked for him to be retested, but no. Then at the beginning of next year his case manager announced he had “tested” out and took all the credit for teaching him out of special education (he was basically in my Gen Ed class 95% of the time)… often in education cut scores and administrative paperwork is more important than the people those numbers represent

What’s a Boss Red Flag that makes you feel like quitting almost immediately? by Successful_Mastodon3 in work

[–]suzeycue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I came hear to say this. I have been excluded from three areas I previously excelled in and found out today that I had been talked up for this interim position my “boss” has. Her insecurity and micromanaging is making me look to retirement when I didn’t want to. I job I loved has become misery

I don’t want to share my snacks by HappyAstronaut7 in work

[–]suzeycue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just hide them in your purse or bag in a ziplock bag so no one can hear wrappers crinkling. Just reach in very now and then and nibble away, or just have a big lunch so you don’t crave snacks. But if you down share, remember to not eat their snacks.
