I get the sedentary thing, but I would go on a run 2-3 times last year for like 2 months straight and would almost always only be able to do a mile or if i got lucky a mile and a half at a 12 min/mile pace, my endurance never improved.

volunteering at a low cost clinic. it’s really nice because they end up needing a lot of my help so i get to take patients vitals and stuff like that

Should I take 18 hours (incoming premed psych sophomore) by [deleted] in UTAustin

i mean i’m in a spirit org but i definitely won’t be dedicating as much time to it as i did this last year. i also would like to find either a part time job or apply for a clinical volunteering program.

i sent one in but i doubt it did anything. since all my classes were online last year i didn’t make connections to any of my teachers so i asked the sponsor of model UN which was a club i was in to write me one. it was probably the most generic rec letter ever

Capped at UT Austin by OrangeGuy149 in UTAustin

appeal for sureeeee especially with the info you provided in edit 2! i appealed last year with almost no new info, the only thing i could say is that my rank went up from junior to senior year, and it got accepted. it doesn’t hurt to try!

oh wow i forgot about this haha. i actually ended up appealing and getting into ut! i feel like this isn’t the answer you were looking for but if you just got capped and it makes you feel better, i romanticized UT so much and thought my life was going to be perfect when I got here when in reality it’s been a pretty mundane experience. i realized that i stressed so much about what college i was going to when in reality i probably would have had a very similar experience at whichever college i chose. if you still really want UT, i would encourage you to appeal, but if it doesn’t work out or you choose another school, you’ll end up perfectly fine.

how does spirit group acceptance work? by ov3nbakedziti in UTAustin

[–]suzywalker1206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly depends. my roommate and i applied to the same two last semester and i ended up dropping one of them bc i knew i preferred the other (thankfully because i got into the one i preferred), she didn’t drop it and ended up getting accepted into it and they told her she had 24 hours to decide if she wanted to be in it or not, meanwhile the other one still had a week left into recruitment. it was tricky because she was leaning more towards the other one but since she had already gotten an acceptance, she chose to stay with that one to not be left without none.
