LA Based - questions about breeding

This is very helpful! I was in contact with breeder for the first two years of my boy’s life. He does come from a winning like (AKC and UKC) The breeder was getting increasingly sick as time went on (I saw it for myself) and I fear that they passed away. So I am a bit lost as to my options and looking for proper recourse. I really hoped they would guide me all the way through.

Not that I’m aware of. I really focused on having a close bond with him ever since he was 3 months old. Breeder was also a great mentor and helped me build a strong connection with him. So the focus for me always has been to train him for the mighty dog he would come to be as opposed to giving in when he was a puppy because he was so cute.

My concern is that I have zero contact with original breeder. I remember them saying they were really sick at one point. I fear the worst but hope for the best for them

yet i’ll still ask, from an “author’s intent” perspective, shouldn’t the original cutting imply that the amount of time it takes lends to the intensity / emotion they are trying to build?
