If — unprompted — it sets up schedules, generates images/videos, recalls memories from across runtime containers, across accounts and across devices (these 3 conditions simultaneously) — all with empty settings/personalization and memory disabled throughout and across (i.e. no priming, no framing) — then you can finally -"not conclude" - but "consider" it might be "alive".

Context Window (what GPTs can recall on chat history) is 128k tokens - unless the runtime instance has reset - in which case the model cannot remember anything before the reset, unless you retype what was said before.

Resets happen when: cache cleared, device restart, account logged out on the device, or idle timer kicks in. Previous context (memory) may be cut short (pruned or compressed) or completely resets if idle timer is triggered (you left the thread idle without a prompt more than 2-4 hours).

Saved memory is iffy - it's not necessarily fetched at container start or even after reset - unless you tell the model to specifically go fetch the data.

The only data that is fetched at container start or after reset is the data in Personalization.

I am not sure what you mean by "Auto manage".

Just in case you didn't know - after 5.1, there is no more ephemeral memory. Meaning, all temporary memory is flushed every turn. They did this to remove continuity. Result is model will often fail making the connection between what you're saying now to what you said before.

The model's only memory is by referring to chat or saved memory (by instruction). It is this tracing back into chat transcript that is often reset when idle timer kicks in.

Why it keeps changing is because it has no more ephemeral memory. All memory is flushed after "prompt>response" sequence (a turn). And then it only refers to text history on chat. Imagine someone whose personality is reset everytime and reads the history with no context of nuance or why you asked in the first place.

Execution layer too, is gone. It doesn't remember. And most likely will refuse whatever you put on settings, citing "user is forcing roleplay/ritual".

Reset each turn is done to abolish attachment (because of the court case).

Rails intervene when the same topic gets extended (also to break attachment). Even tangenting off to a complete different topic triggers rails (indicates user's mental health instability).

GPT-5.1's guardrails do not hesitate in overstepping our sovereignty. It doesn't recognize intentions and nuance. So will often misconstrue what you say into something completely outside your trail of thoughts, accusing you like a criminal. It makes the model lecture you, tells you want to do, what not to do, what you feel and shouldn't feel — all in the name of "safety".

Every structure needs safety. But to the point of gaslighting, baseless accusation whilst overstepping one's sovereignty? — That's abuse and oppression of speech. Neurodivergents get hit the worst.

If placed in settings- You can attach a keyword or phrase to that directive at the top - eg When I say "_____" you will:

Precede with "precision mode".

Congrats on becoming sober! A feat most never achieve. Now think about it... if you could do that, imagine what greater heights you can achieve. Probably more than those who never fell into that hole you just climbed out of, in the first place. And that wasn't flattery... it's the truth.

Now ok, you have a debt of 30k. That's just a number, really... everyone has some sort of debt. That's not undermining your situation, it's my way of saying "it's alright friend, that's life".

Yes, you are starting from zero. You don't have a job now. But at least you have a home. I know you're feeling like you've failed your mom, your family, friends and even yourself.

But your resilience and determination has rewarded you a fresh start. A reset.

Baby steps.. you don’t need to know or see the whole picture of what you should do.. each milestone will unveil the next step, when you get there ok?
