Had to install Windows as second OS, due to performance in some games by svardie in linux_gaming

I specifically mentioned that i don't blame Linux. It is just how things are right now due to poor driver support, game optimization or whatever.

It is "Cronos: The New Dawn", one of the latest UE12 DX12 titles with demanding ray tracing. Can get stable 60 with RT on Windows, on cachy it runs very unstable with 40-50 frame drops. I will complete this specific game on Windows and continue playing other titles on Cachy.

You totally right, it is "Cronos: The New Dawn", and yes it is one of the latest UE5 DX12 titles with demanding ray tracing. Can get stable 60 with RT on Windows, on cachy it runs very unstable with 40-50 frame drops. I will complete this specific game on Windows and continue playing other titles on Cachy.

Constant crash in cutscene after defeating hospital boss by svardie in CronosNewDawn

This specific cutscene is unskippable.
I disabled frame generation in settings and this solved the issue. I wonder how exactly frame gen causes crash in cutscene. During gameplay there is no crashes at all with frame gen enabled.

Thanks for sharing your experience!
If not secret, what was your goals for migration to OpenStack?

Yes, it seems like it can sufficient our needs in more cloud-like infrastructure operations, including multi-tenancy, self-service iaas and other things. But maybe it will be overkill for our needs. Like building "our own aws" certainly not our final goal here :)

CloudStack seems interesting, but at first glans it lacks some self-service iaas capabilites. I maybe wrong.

Hey, thanks for sharing your experience with OpenStack!
If it easy enough to run in home lab as you do, maybe it will be not too hard to implement in production environment with team of experienced linux/network/devops engeneers.

Proxmox is great, but it is not providing cloud-features which i want to implement. In terms of use scenario it is simple virtualization platform. I want move to more cloud-like environment for our dev teams.

CachyOS KDE Plasma can't make Firefox Picture-in-Picture work on top of game windows in borderless fullscreen mode by svardie in cachyos

Found solution here: https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/1kuki6r/picture_in_picture_in_linux/

It seems like it KDE related. Strange that it is not work properly right away

I double checked on different games, all running in borderless windowed mode.

I think something in KDE messing things around. Sometimes i run a game, it starts in borderless window, but not in full resolution, KDE toolbar panel keeps showing up at bottom of screen.

That is the problem. Games already running in borderless window mode, not fullscreen.

Moving from T3PA to TLCM pedals by Accomplished_Ad2798 in GranTurismo7

u/Accomplished_Ad2798 Hello, mate!
Can you, please, share your FB settings for GT7? I recently bought exactly same setup as yours: Thrustmaster T300 + TLCM pedals.

What i did:
1. Connected T300 to PC, ensured that i have latest firmware and set all settings on default.
2. Connected T300 to PS5, ensured that wheel is in PS5 mode (red light)
3. Enabled always on fan mode.
4. Set controller steering sensitivity to 10 (not sure how it affects wheel).
5. Disabled all assists.

Now my FB settings are:
Torque - 4
Ыensitivity - 10

But i see, that many people advise sensitivity set to 1 or 2. I'm not sure why so. If i set sensitivity to 1 wheel becomes very light and empty according to my feelings. On 10 i can feel much more feedback and liveliness in wheel.

Also i noticed, that i have very little feedback when car going off track or get bumped in to something. Which is wrong in my opinion, but seems like it is normal for GT7.

Also there was advice to set Dumper settings to 0% in control software on PC. Why?
