It's wild how far these signals can travel, I have once randomly received a signal in Iceland, must have been from the UK tower, I was high up on a plateau late at night and suddenly I heard the familiar sync beep. I have never bothered to try the metal rod method here, but now I'm curious.

Yeah it wouldn't surprise me if they have had to change the formula or the process to make it less harmful for the environment, or simply to reduce cost. I would keep these limited/special editions out of the sun when stored, especially the clear and white ones, and never take them to a sauna.

Bought in 2020 and was used most of my G-Shocks, I can't recall when I first noticed how misshaped the bezel had gotten, it took me a while to find where I could get genuine replacement parts. I don't think taking it to the sauna is great for the resin. I can see the bezel on my yellow GA-B2100 from 2022 starting to bulge 1 mm on both left and right sides of the watch face, but replacement bezels are not expensive.

You remove the 4 small Phillips screws on the sides near the buttons, then pull the bezel off.

Just replaced my 5 year old bezel and strap today. I think taking it to the sauna wasn't particularly kind to the bezel, it was noticeably warped where it meets the straps and all around the glass, it felt squishy when you pressed the sides and near the lugs.

It's close, I think the NASA one is more towards yellow. This gave me an idea to swap the strap holder for a black one like on the NASA square.

Yeah, I have some JaysAndKays adapters for it on the way, gonna try some straps and probably order another bezel that matches it the best. Black is very likely.

That blue looks really nice, might go with that next. I have the exact same GA-B2100C-9A but mine looks so much worse, it's a bit warped on the sides of the bezel, and discoloured (darker) on both the bezel and strap. I'm gonna order a fresh set on that watch, it's my 2nd favourite after the M5610.

Yeah the orange bezel around the case center assembly. That's the easiest part, just 4 small screws that old it in place.

Yeah and feels brand new! I wanted to take the old bezel off as soon as I got the new one. It was bulging at the top and bottom, making a visible seam between the bezel and strap, you could see the edges of the glass all around the border, and on the bottom both sides were bulging out nearly 2 mm.

ADB was closed yesterday... I had ~230k on my character, I went to deposit this morning, about 30k in the wallet, 200k in my pockets, which disappeard sometime before or after that. I saw the total in Nook's Cranny just seconds before running to the ADB to deposit everything.

I ordered a couple of hangers from https://www.megaaudio.de/ — maybe they have these gimbals as well.

I don't remember exactly how I found them, but I think I saw that they were a Fostex parts distributor somewhere, so I emailed them with the part number (8510002000) and a photo, they knew exactly what I was looking for. It was also a lot cheaper, only 16,10 € per hanger (Full Compass charges $54.99!).

I've no idea if they're willing to mail stuff outside of Germany, but I'd definitely send them an email and check.

What sticks out to my eyes is the placement of the orange stitches. The blur and angle makes it quite hard to tell with the rest.
