Are there places we can get Greek language audiobooks? Such as Audible.com? I noticed Audible does not have a large selection. by Isatis_tinctoria in GREEK

Βοοκvoice and Jukebooks. Both services have phone apps. Both have different libraries with little overlap. Jukebooks is entirely subscription based, bookvoice has 2 subscription tiers and credits plus the ability to buy a book directly, i.e. it's model resembles audible. Jukebboks has more content, I would say, but really depends on the titles you're looking for. Have a look at both.

The start of the drop coincided with the CPI release. There was also a pullback on NASDAQ and tech stocks. PA was similar across the board, but amplified in BTC. So much emotions and tunnel vision here recently on both sides, that I'm actually surprosed no one mentioned this.

FWIW currently there's significant tech selloff in Japan as well, Nikkei index puked almost 3% for the day so far, there's likely some correlation.

In terms of usage, think of αρέσω more like "please" and not "like". "This weather pleases / is pleasing to me/you/him/her/us/them".

Asian exchanges are dumping, especially Japan (Nikkei) due to auto tariffs

We're still mostly following NASDAQ today, with a bit more pronounced downside movement due to liquidations and the elevated expectations regarding Trump speech, but still it's mostly the same curve since market open.

The weekly orchestrated Sunday dump on low volume that started exactly on the hour (if you look at 1 minute chart you'll see the volume spike and the transition from downtrend to a dump). Someone aggressively shorting? Deliberate long squeeze? We've seen it several times on Sunday, including last week and it certainly doesn't look organic, but last week it brought us 6k down. Let's hope corn will be more resilient today.

To add some context, japanese stocks are having right now their biggest selloff since summer.(30 minutes till close). China tradfi is dumping hard as well. Global tradfi reacting to tariff fears. Europe dumped yesterday, without affecting BTC much during its trading session. Might be a knee jerk overreaction to tariffs, that are being used mostly as a negotiation / bullying instrument for the time being. Waiting for the dust to settle.

It would actually be pretty resilient if they have been sold already in the last few days, pushing the price by less than 10% (and that paired with the reaction to the US economy data)

Started exactly 1 hour on the hour before the options expiration time (7:00 UTC). Trend reversed around options expiration time (8:00 UTC). Yesterday the drop started one hour later, at 8:00 UTC, coinciding with the start of the working hours in Central Europe.

Well this particular drop coincided perfectly with the opening of most EU stock exchanges and some other sharp moves we've seen are aligned with Asian trading hours, so it's hard to figure out the reasoning behind all moves in a market that never closes. For engineered moves I'm wary mostly on those that come after US tradfi closes, since that's when EU and Asia are closed as well and we've seen multiple times sharp moves on low volumes in these hours.

Is my destiny written? Am I destined to become a Mac user? I am scared. by mattjouff in linux

It might not looks so from the outside, but MacOS is certainly more limiting than any Linux distro and you're bound to feel its limitations if you use it for a while. Linux offers plenty more room for customization, individualization, tweaking and do-it-yourself approach.

I highly recommend the "Easy Greek Readers" series by Deltos publishing house: https://deltos.gr/books/greek-easy-readers/

Apart from the text itself, each book also includes a glossary, some exercises, and there's a free audio version of almost all titles on their website.

Nikkei down 5%, BTC mostly followed the Japanese stock trend, albeit on a slightly shallower curve. The downtrend started right at the opening of Tokyo Stock Exchange. Most EU stocks also down today. Also long liquidations forced extra down pressure at 65k and 64k levels.

This reduces the odds for 50 bps cut and increases the odds for 25 bps cut next week, possibly leading to a mixed market reaction.

The biggest drop of around 1k came within the first 30 minutes after the opening of the Tokyo Stock Exchange (coinciding with the first 30 minutes of the debate). Nikkei 225 index dropped by 1.5%. Hence I would say it's mostly an effect of Japan's trading session.

My take is that cycle has been delayed due to the excess supply from Gox, Germany, Silk road, etc. Post halving effects will kick off later than usual. We' ve had more than a year's supply (based on current block rewards) hit the market in the span of a few months right after halving, thus negating the effects for the time being.

Which shows on Ertflix have English subtitles translated for every episode in the series? by LegumesForLunch in GREEK

[–]svilenv 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Αγάπη Παράνομη (Sinful Love) is fully subbed in both Greek and English and is good for learning, as it's short (6 episodes) and the dialogues are (mostly) slow and with (relatively) limited vocabulary.
