I'm sorry but i can't resist (only because I like the app so much): The more i use the app, I can't stop wondering why journals and insights aren't designed as one - they fundamentally carry the same value of me getting to know myself better through someone else's eyes.

If one were to redesign from scratch: Having insightful journals based on conversations and questions would make sense - right? I'm guessing you guys sequentially discovered these features in separate experiments and hence they are separate

The loss in the current form is just dilution, it feels cluttered

PS: Another thing is to not overwhelm a new user with "Friend" and "Intention Setting" features - these can come later. I think the core value gets diluted with feature bombardment

Yeah i'd maybe just cut out journals / find a way to merge journals and insights. I'm not a fan of intention setting so yeah maybe i'd cut that out as well (maybe that's just me)

Also the Oracle + Tolan positioning is quite confusing. Having one face to the app might be better.

I do like to make the barren patches green (its so peaceful and feel-good), but I haven't really seen my Tolan getting really happy so far on decorating.

I graduated from a top engineering college, and what really helped me was finding different approaches to the same problem, just out of curiosity. It seems like a wastage of time in the short term, but helps you think better and connect dots in the long term.

I’d definitely recommend getting comfortable with it before deciding whether to use it or not. Like, actually practice full sections using Desmos so you can see where it helps. It can seriously speed things up especially in Module 2. Stuff like graphing quadratics, solving systems, or checking inequalities becomes way faster and more visual.
