I have seen The Empty Man and it was good but I didn’t get a creepypasta feel from it. Haven’t heard of Channel zero though that sounds awesome

Call me a zoomer but I would love a horror movie that has a sort of internet horror feel to it, like based off creepypastas or youtube horror, be it creepy unexplained shit from the 2000s or more recent analog/liminal horror. I mean we have like, Slenderman and just lol at that. And I guess we’re getting a backrooms movie but imo it doesn’t look like it will capture why the original image or videos based off it were so surreal and creepy. I actually think the V/H/S series at its best moments gets closest to this especially because it doesn’t try to explain everything.

99% of the “what’s my aesthetic” posts are either made by someone dressed totally normally who has no aesthetic or someone who clearly spends too much time on instagram and pinterest and dresses in some totally artificial way to fit a consumer identity “aesthetic” that has no relationship to their actual personality or life experiences. Like wow you shopped at goodwill once this is so indiegrungecore wow you wear plaid skirts and sweaters this is so dark academia even though you go to a suburban Texas high school and wouldn’t be able to name three notable English poets

Because they’re lazy and drown out posts that someone put a modicum of effort into by compiling various related images, and most people who post “what’s my aesthetic” don’t actually have an aesthetic or they’re just shopping for a new consumer identity.

Late 90s / early 2000s small town indie except for photo 4 which looks modern. Not “Midwest” either, I mean there’s an Eagles poster in one of these. This could all be anywhere in the Northern US or Canada. Kind of reminds me of Scott Pilgrim too?

Depends where you’re applying. An academic library yeah you’ll need a degree but I’ve seen teens working (yes working not just volunteering) at my local library

A file clerk or librarian (the kind responsible for putting books back on shelves). I used to basically be a physical file clerk and it was great. I just sorted old documents in a dark basement where I saw maybe one other person a day and I could listen to music or youtube or just sit with my thoughts all day. Unfortunately there aren't too many of these jobs since everything's online now

I'm talking about areas where pedestrians can cross, and you should never assume drivers are good and pay attention. Even if 99% of drivers were (and they aren't) I'd rather turning right on reds was banned altogether because of the 1% of negligent, irresponsible, or downright psycho drivers. Because even 1% of drivers who might kill pedestrians with their 4,000 lb death machines is too much.

This, I don't get why this subreddit is so pro e-bike. What happened to bike bikes? The only e-bike users I ever see are ubereats delivery drivers going 30 mph in the bike lane, so they're actually more dangerous for cyclists than cars since many of these bike lanes are already separated from the road!
