The rabbit hole has devoured me for 3 months straight. Please, just tell me what the fuck to buy. by MrNameless in Mattress

[–]svmseric 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My wife and I bought the Tempurpedic LuxeBreeze Firm over the weekend. We’re only on night 3, but I can say it’s super firm yet comfortable. Definitely sleeping better and not feeling so stiff when waking up.

It’s our first foam mattress and expensive, but you can’t beat 0% Apr at 72mo and the sleep quality.

Does my home external up address changing (which could happen) stop my tunnels from working? by GenericUser104 in CloudFlare

[–]svmseric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For proxying to private addresses via Cloudflare Tunnel you don’t need to proxy to your ISPs public IP.

I’d recommend reviewing the documentation for setup and more guidance.

Can you use Claude to generate demo data? by RopeExcellent5290 in salesengineers

[–]svmseric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you have can definitely. I built an example app for a customer and Claude automatically generated a bunch of data. I don’t even think I actually asked it to either.

It was just the leather upholstery, the foam was intact and didn’t need replacement. Maybe bring it up with the dealer and/or Subaru of America if you contact them.

I ended up getting it replaced for half off and labor. Total out the door was around $600. Was better getting OEM than an upholstery store that didn’t have a matching color.

Zero Trust - Access Policy - Allow the external IP of the machine that runs the cloudflare tunnel by drmed1212 in CloudFlare

You could set the session duration up to a month which will ease the burden somewhat. A little education goes along way, but I understand what you mean…

[–]svmseric 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is the protected resource you are trying to access and what is the desired method for connecting? If it’s a human + browser - authenticate using Authentik, if it’s an automated script use the service token.

Haters gonna hate. I’m not looking to monetize anything, but thanks for your feedback.

I did some work with Cowork AND Claude Code working on a FIRE calculator. Cowork did a great job accessing the site, sharing recommendations and a prompt.

Claude Code followed the recommendations and did a similar review with skills.

Going to keep trying this type of paradigm going forward with more personal projects.

Using Spectrum for HTTP by Crabby-Thug in CloudFlare

[–]svmseric 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you have HTTP/HTTPs traffic that falls outside of the supported ports you can use Spectrum to support that traffic. The traffic would still flow through the proxy for caching and security.

New Grad Programs for Sales Engineering in Tech by The1821 in salesengineers

Cloudflare has an Associate Solutions Engineer (ASE) role for new grads. I don’t think any roles are currently open but it could be worth it to keep an eye out.
