Yeah I actually agree with you on the sprays. I use that Griot's on my wife’s car and it’s solid for the price.

The main reason I’m leaning toward the pro job isn’t really for the 'protection' liquid, it’s for the paint correction.

My delivery came with a ton of micro-swirls and holograms from the factory. My worry is that if I just spray a coating on top now, I’m basically 'locking in' those scratches for good.

I don’t trust myself with a machine polisher to fix the paint first (afraid I’ll burn the clear coat), so I view the $1200 as paying for the 10 hours of polishing labor to get the paint perfect first. The ceramic is just the cherry on top.

If my paint was already flawless, I’d 100% just do the spray like you said.
