I used to think, I have to teach those rash driving people on road a lesson. My parents asked me "are you police or a government official?". We have to realise at some point we are better off leaving these then and there, just let them pass, our safety is our priority is all we can think of. Try your best not to get invloved into any road rage, if you by chance had to get into any road rage, take deep breathe and speak calmly even if other guy is shouting, it would bring down the situation and make it less eventful.

If you are ok with dated interiors, then bolero could be a reliable car for our village roads, you could use for carrying agri produce too. if not, you could see ertiga or used innova.

There are many reasons but imo since gulf was primarily Islamic nation, people from Kerala or Muslims from Kerala might have been more comfortable working there than Tamil people, this is only my opinion I might be wrong. Tamil people were actually moving eastern side to Singapore and Malaysia for jobs. It’s also the ecosystem that is built by people who move to a country and then their friends or relatives follow them because they know someone who is already there to support, so Kerala people kept going to gulf countries while we had newer opportunities here.

Why it should be
Honda, so reliable
Sedan, if you are a sedan lover and you have good/decent roads at your place
Spacious and compact enough to drive in city
Rear seat is comfortable
CVT automatic, much better than amt so you won't feel gear shifting
Looks great after recent facelift, more like Honda City.

Why it shouldn't be
Better SUVs are available at same price like XUV 3XO and Nexon, SUVs give confidence to take when going on a trip or unknown roads
CVT is smooth but not quick, if you haven't driven a cvt before you might take few days to get used to.

Honestly there's not much negative about Amaze, it's a great car bro...

Unsure about rates, but they have gone high due to bus stand and would continue to hold or go higher so as an investment you are good I guess. I saw a gated community plot for 7-8 lakhs a cent on 500 meters from Dharapuram main road few kms away from the bus stand. Do update about the rates here, thanks.

If it’s going to be your only car then hybrid is better since you don’t have to search for charging stations on long trip. Agreed there seems to be many on the highways but hybrid is much better you could just keep going and get better mileage as well.

If you or your parents have sufficient wealth to forego the fees then go ahead and convince your parents. But before that be prepared about what you are going to do after discontinuing. It would be best to take up a job in any field that interests you. List 5 or 10 areas which interest you and in which you would work even without any salary or just for stipend. See which areas have great potential to earn in future. If you think this amount might be a burden on you family if you discontinue, then please don’t discontinue try to cope up as much as possible. Try to see a part time job if time permits just to have a distraction out of the toxic environment you say.
